Well...Im kind of torn there.

On one hand it looks epic...open world, nice graphics, cool gruesome fight moves thats more than just punch and kick.

On the other hand, it seems like the controls are a bit sloppy and maybe unresponsive. Its obviously hard to say without playing it, but just watching it, it just looked that way.

Also the camera needs alot of work.

Hopefully a good bit is fixed, because that could be a very fun game.

Some early reviews are in

Official Playstation Mag(UK) 8.5/10
Official Playstation Mag(Italty) 9/10
OXM(UK) 9/10
EGM mag(US) 9.5/10

It looks like Amazon, BestBuy, and GameStop all have preorder bonuses as well.

I really like the non preorder bonus of staying at home. I don't have to waste my precious moneys

I'm really not impressed with anything I've seen from this game.

Very interested in this, but it seems like one of those AA games, probably will be just fine but wont gather the masses. Either way, it will probably be a sale/dropped price buy for me.

Same. There's no way I would pay $60 for this game. It'll probably go on sale for $39.99 after two weeks or so.

Same poop, different toilet.

These games always make for great trailers, but get old real fast when actually playing, for me at least.

He is UNDERCOVER cop. The RULES are different!

Or rather a convenient excuse to be a street thug in an open world game.

This game is pretty awesome.

Cheap thrills like a summer popcorn action flick...but a very good one.

I've heard great things about it. I've also been told it has the best hand to hand combat engine/mechanic in a game EVER, any truth to that?

I dont know about BEST....but it is pretty damn good. Probably the best combat engine in sandbox game ala Grand Theft Auto/Saints Row, etc....

Only downside is I dont think its even nearly as long as GTA, but there is alot to do and is so fun it has alot of replayability.

Im at work right now and only got to play it for a few hours, but me and my friend are going to play it some more later.

Just an all around fun game.

No multiplayer and if so why not? Open world game in a different enviroment just seems like the way to go. Especially free mode.

Argh! Not everything has to have multiplayer. I hate that some games force multiplayer down the users throat and lose some fun elements/length because of it.

Some people like to play single player games.

But many of the sandbox games have multiplayer. So you being a single player fan can still enjoy everything about it. GTA4, Red Dead, Assasins Creed. All 3 sandbox games where single player made you put in extended hours in main missions, side missions and just your own explorations. While also giving others the ability to play multiplayer. Adding multiplayer to these type of games especially Sleeping Dogs make it replayable so much. It makes people shelling out $60 feel they got their money worth as well. You dont even need many game modes for Sleeping dogs either. One would be similar to GTA4 cops n crooks. Cops n triads, gang wars, free mode which is huge in RDR and GTA4 where gamers can interact and explore the enviroment.

You act as if adding multiplayer affects you playing the game as a single player. It doesnt. You dont have to venture into multiplay. And adding multiplayer wouldnt take anything away from the game you're enjoying as a single player.
