(Does this count as "News Worthy, Phire?) If not how am I suppose to beat 808).
Shady is a stud, but he need to improve on his pass proctection, if he's able to do that, and hopefully one of the backups step up, I see nothing stopping us from world domination. |

Did any of you guys catch the Vick interview with Missanelli yesterday?
Here's the link for those who missed it: http://www.975thefanatic.com/teams/eagles/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10403848
Basically Vick is now saying that he realizes that his health is important and he will make a hard effort to get down and not fight for the extra yard by sacrificing his body. He says "get the other yard on the next play" is what he is engraving into his mind.
All of this coming a month after the I'm gonna play how I play rant (http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/inq-eagles/Vick-tired-of-injury-questions.html). I don't really know what to think here. At least he acknowledged and understood the importance and ramifications of him staying healthy. But I honestly can't believe that he really means what he said. Smells more like a I'm gonna tell you what you want to here so you leave me alone about it type of thing to me.
Anyways, what do you guys think? Is he really going to make the effort to protect himself more? _________________

Unless he learned secretly how to slide in the offseason, No. However people seem to forget the last two injuries he's suffered came "within the pocket" not scrambling outside of it. His biggest issue and greatest attribute is his ability to extend plays and make the miraculous down the field throw for a big gain or run. The sooner he realizes just throw it away or kill a goffer and move onto the next play call like 90% of the other NFL QB's in the league. The healthier he will stay. _________________

Big news recently, not sure if you guys missed it.. but Vick has finalised preparations to launch a new clothing line entitled 'V7'. Good stuff coming from the Vick camp and the latest in a plethora of moves enhancing his public image. Most importantly he insists this monster project has not interfered with his offseason routine.
| Quote: | | Vick said developing a clothing line has not interfered with his preparation for his fourth season with the Eagles. Philadelphia opens training camp July 22 — the same date Vick will launch the fall line of his products. |

| Quote: | | OT King Dunlap admitted he was frustrated when the Eagles signed Demetress Bell. |
| Quote: | | When Jason Peters (Achilles) went down, Dunlap assumed that it was his time to step into the starting left tackle gig. The organization didn't see it that way, adding Bell so the 6'9" Dunlap could stick in the swing tackle role. Dunlap will be a free agent after this season. |

I think King Dunlap will get his chance. Seeing Damatress Bell will probably be out for 3-5 games most likely. And I would love to See King Dunlap make D. Ware go flying. I have enough confidence in him plus he wouldn't be blocking Mike Vicks blind side.

Did he really think he would be handed the job with no one else brought in as insurance? That's not how the NFL works, thought he would know this by now. It's not like he was a first rounder. _________________
