Agreed. There will never be a representative for the Ravens under these rules because they mean that Ray Rice, Joe Flacco and Ed Reed (among others) are made free agents without giving the team the cap space that not having them creates. It basically double penalises any team that wants to sign FAs |
Lions have similiar issues under these salary cap suggested figures

Let's try to track down the source of Clayton's #'s. That may give us a better perspective on what each team's cap numbers for 2013 truly are.
This link really only has about 1/4 of the #'s we need. |

I think he honestly went through each team and figured their cap numbers, or someone did for him. Because I went through and did the Bengals and ended up with 41.1 million in cap and he says we should be at 42.
And as pointed out, I am losing a lot of players with big contracts, such as Robert Geathers, Nate Clements and Andre Smith, and with only 29 million there's no way I could replace them and sign a few FAs.

I sure Hope I have far more than $14 Million cap space, more than half my team is a FA...
I have about 10 players on D thats it

Same for the Falcons.. If the cap #s got fixed I would love to do this..
