Hope he learns from this mistake. Not sure why everyone is always so quick to jump on somebody for making a bad choice we make them it's only really bad if he doesn't learn anything. Assuming he does no harm no foul since no one was injured.

d'oh!

Some comments don't even merit a reply.

Would the Giants miss him if he was suspended as from what I hear the answer would probably be no not really ?

One of these days, a football player is going to kill someone...oh wait someone already did. Didn't anyone learn from Stallworth or are we going to need a bus full of people to get killed before the NFL steps up and does something?

dumb move, by what seems to be a smart guy.

nobody is perfect, everyone makes mistakes.. but this was a mistake that could have ended a lot worse if he had hurt someone or even himself. he's lucky that none of the cars he hit had anyone inside.. or he could be looking at even worse charges.

you'd think that these guys would finally get it.. after seeing so many of their colleges get into deep crap for doing it.. but nope. I know for a fact that the guy could have afforded a taxi.. or let alone being able to pay some random dude to drive him home.. and because of that he shouldn't get any sympathy whatsoever from the courts and NFL/Goodell..

I admit that I have a tendency to call someone getting a DUI a piece of crap and rooting for him the next day because sports >>> humanity.

Thankfully I hate Diehl anyway and this gives me more reason to hate him.

Hopefully this is a 1 time mistake, still a stupid move by Diehl.

Ofcourse a jets fan would post this. Don't really see a problem. I like Diehl. Probably the only guy I like on the Giants.

Sometimes it takes only one mistake to ruin a bunch of lives.

What is "suspicion" of DUI. Isn't failing the breathalyzer pretty clear cut?

I think most people don't intend to drive drunk, then do it once and are like "that wasn't so hard." Then keep doing it until something like this happens.
Arrested on suspicion of DUI. A preliminary breath test is ordinarily not legally conclusive for conviction. The charge itself wil be for DUI, however.
