Streater will make the team over Murphy at this point

I think it's way too early to sat that. Murphy will make the team imo, but I have a feeling that Criner will surpass him on the depth chart though.

Ya there is room for both. I think McGee, Streater and Murphy will all end up fighting for last spot. I have Murph ahead of all of them because of experience and Streater right behind him. McGee may end up PS again.

Murphy will be owed the most though, which might make him more expendable. Its way to early to say one way or another, but if they feel like Streater or McGee can offer as much as Murphy (and maybe more if they play special teams well) then they will go with the cheaper option. Murphy needs a good showing in camp or he might not have a roster spot.

If this were the scenario then Murphy won't make the roster as no one will pay the last WR on the roster $1.26M, especially for a salary cap strapped team.

Bill Williamson has some good things to say about the Defensive Line: http://espn.go.com/blog/afcwest/post/_/id/44723/ranking-the-defensive-linemen-2

IMO Seymour and Kelly both overrated there, though they are very good players as individuals remains to be seen if they can play as an effective pair on the inside. Great to have Shaughnessy back though and that could make a huge difference especially with run defence:

Seymour said of missing Shaughnessy’s presence. “I tell him all the time, he’s the best run defensive end in the NFL, for sure, in terms of stopping the run. He’s the best in the NFL against the run"

I don't think our guys are too high when i look at the names on that list. A bunch of busts and rookies.

Agreed. Only Dumervil I could see being possibly higher than Seymour. I think it is a fair assesment. If you look at draft needs everyone had DL for all teams except us.

In other news, Streater is shooting up depth chart. Good motivation for all players if nothing else. Good to see we are going based on play.

"Allen said Streater earned first-team reps. @Raiders almost picked him in sixth round"

Seymour looks more in shape early on.

My favorite quote from mini-camp:

Quote:
@Raiders UDFA punter @MarquetteKing said he almost did not wash his hand after first meeting #ShaneLechler. "I had to chill myself."

What a boss.

It's a shame Lechler is entrenched in Oakland. This King kid has a freaking leg and will be starting for a team this season.

Hearing a lot of good things about Rod Streater. It's going to be an interesting battle come training camp.

WR is deep.

I guess Allen is reading this forum.
