The band that opened for him, Strand of Oaks, was awesome too. I had never heard of them, but they were great. The vocalist was fantastic.

Strand of Oaks is greeeeeat. Bonfire is an absolutely mesmerizing song that sends chills down my spine. The fact that he's on tour with TMOE is well...well, it's just great, and I damned sure wish I could see that show.

He sounded incredible live. Was shocked at his voice.

Well...He was independent, until my boy Rockie Fresh got signed by Maybach Music Group last night. Big deal for my friends and me, who have been following Rockie since he was under 1000 followers on twitter and only had recently released his second mixtape. Now he's working on number four, has 20k+ followers, and is even said to be working on an album.

I know. I can't stop listening. I've only listened to the new Dirty Projectors album once or twice because of it.

Big fan. I saw them earlier this year at the Ritz in Manchester (England) for their 'Given to the Wild' tour. The gig was amazing considering I had earlier that day witnessed my Soccer team (Manchester United) lose away at a hated rival (Liverpool).

Is anyone picking up Milo Greene's debut album? I've been livestreaming the album for about a week now; it's a pretty good indie/folk-pop effort. I'd give it about an 8/10.

hipster dubstep anthem

idk why, but I really like this Filastine record. Wish the chick on this song did all the vocals though.

If you guys are into that whole synthpop with chick singers thing like I am, check out Icky Blossoms' debut self-titled.

I don't think it's playing anywhere in Wisconsin yet, but I've watched the trailer a few dozen times. Gives me chills.

It was one night only! Although I assume the DVD will be out before long. It's amazing watching that final show. I got goosebumps watching the entire rendition of "All My Friends." I also get the feeling that Murphy is already regretting "retirement."

I'm not sure if anyone here was a fan of Headlights [fantastic indie pop/dream pop band) or Absinthe Blind (band Headlights came from) but both bands were a part of the Chicago indie scene.

Keeping with tradition, Headlights has disbanded, but Erin Wraight and co. are still making music under the new name, Psychic Twin. They just released a video today [which I think is a b-side for one of their singles.] The single iirc isn't that great, but this has crossover potential and should absolutely be a single. I'm officially really excited to see what Erin has in store with Psychic Twin's debut record [which should see light in early 2013]

"Deepest Part"
