I don't like it at all. I'm not sure where his head is at when it come to matters of faith and whether he claims to be a Christian or not. I don't look to athletes for this kind of thing bcuz there are only a handful of ones I know are legit (Tebow, Rodgers, Jennings, Lin, Dawkins, etc).

i really don't see the big deal at all about those tweets.

and i'm not offended by the black jesus thing either, it's obvious tongue-in-cheek.

and as far as the LA thing. players have said countless times they're fans of the game as much as everyone else. they're allowed to say "is this the best laker team ever?"

seriously though, what's wrong with them.

he's done doing basketball camps? so what..

second one it just sounds like people said he thought he was like king of milwaukee and he's denying he ever said that. than he said he's cool with his nickname back in LA, his hometown. and the nickname is who cares. i have/had about 40 nicknames over the years. nicknames are one of the funnest things about pickup games in basketball.

It's street basketball vernacular. There are worse much names than that.

just leave some stuff here

http://www.jsonline.com/sports/bucks/jennings-says-he-and-ellis-can-lead-bucks-to-playoffs-5c6hsiu-166714286.html

Quote:
The 23-year-old Jennings is coming off a solid season in which he started all 66 games and averaged a team-leading 19.1 points and 5.5 assists. He was one of only 15 league players to start all 66 games in the congested schedule.

He is entering his fourth NBA season and is eligible for a contract extension for the first time. The Bucks and Jennings' agent, Bill Duffy, have until Oct. 31 to reach a deal.

"It would be something I'd love to get done with and over with so I don't have to worry about it," Jennings said. "But the main thing is just to come into training camp a better player, a better leader. . . just lead the team to the playoffs."

possibly why he said he's done doing basketball camps..

Quote:
Jennings spent the past two days directing his annual youth camp - the Brandon Jennings Basketball Procamp - for boys and girls ages 7-18.

He has stayed on the move this summer, with stops in his hometown of Los Angeles, Baltimore and New York. But he has cut back on the pro-am basketball circuit, something he embraced last summer during the lockout.

"This summer is very different," Jennings said. "We know when the season is actually going to start. We all know we have to report back to camp Sept. 27.

"You don't have as much time as you did last year, so you have to get your training in as much as possible."

Also, in case people didn't know, Under the Armour Season 2 is off and running. First 2 episodes are on youtube.

That does beg the question, given all the 'dialogue' between Jennings and the Buck's front office in recent months, what are the chances that we do see Jennings given an extension by October 31st?

And in the case that an extension becomes unlikely, do you guys see there being any possibility of Jennings being moved closer to the deadline?

Chances he re-signs before October 31 are probably 60(will get done)-40(won't get done). I doubt he gets moved either way. He's just way too important to this franchise. We'll be able to give him the most money, best opportunity, and he's our biggest star. The only place I could see him leaving Milwaukee for is the Clippers or Lakers and the Clippers have Paul and the Lakers have no money for him.

People can hate on him, but he's only going to be 23 in September and his numbers have improved every single year in the league. Definitely a very bright future.

I wouldn't say he sucks...that's pretty strong. But he's been VERY medicore up to this point. My biggest concern with him isn't even his shooting (which needs to improve). It's his court-vison (or lack there of) and inability to get teammates more involved/setting them up.

Hes not that type of PG though. Its just like the NFL.
You either have accuracy or you don't! You just can't
wake up the next morning and become a great passer.
Plus BJ plays street ball. Its a 1vs5 approach. His
numbers after that 55 point game are very pedestrian.
But hey you are hanging on that glimmer of hope
Lol. I feel you I am the same with Bradford. I just
See more than the guy watching the stats. But I've
seen BJ play against us and he has been bad. But then
again we are a terrible mismatch for you guys.

His shooting can improve. That's what I said he needs to improve.

I never said anything about his decision-making/court vision improving. That's one thing that I think you either have or you don't.

If you pay more attention to this thread, you'll know that I'm in the minority when it comes to BJ. Most here are very high on him and thinks he's the cat's meow. Me, not so much. Like I said, he's very mediocre IMO.

Do I hope he somehow turns the corner this year and steps his game up? Hell yeah, obviously.

Supposedly Gary Woelfel was on the radio saying the Bucks approached Monta regarding an extension, but he said he has no plans at all to re-sign here.

Now, this shouldn't surprise anybody. And I'm thrilled to hear this. But our lame duck GM better trade him before the deadline and get something in return.

Wonder how Brandon feels about this if they approached Monta before him.
