So many people miss this point. To me it has always been about gameplay, a great story, or an interesting mechanic that separates a game from others. Graphics are usually the last thing I care about. |
I agree, I could play the original Super Mario, or go back and play on the N64 all day long, and it's not for the graphics.
Some of the games from back in the day are simply better, or at least seem to have more work put into them.
Companies made games to give the consumer a fun, repeatable experience, and a lot of that has been lost these days.
