I predict it takes well over a year for this thread to reach 100 pages.

Last one took 10 months I think.

Still, useful thread for anything that doesn't fit elsewhere.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2167689/Gianfranco-Zola-brink-Watford-job.html

Quote:
Gianfranco Zola is set to replace Sean Dyche as Watford manager following the club's takeover by the Pozzo family.

Nice to see Zola back managing in England.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2167446/John-Terry-PSG-plot-8m-bid-Chelsea-captain.html

Quote:
Paris Saint-Germain are lining up an 8million bid for Chelsea captain John Terry.

Despite the controversy over his selection, Terry impressed during his four appearances for Roy Hodgson's side this summer.

8m for Terry really? The only reason I can see Chelsea not selling him is because he is a cornerstone of that club and 8m means nothing to Abramovich.

8m would be great value based on his current ability, but he's a club icon. The offer would have to be obscene to sell him.

We won't sell him, because

A. He's an Icon here at the bridge
B. Locker Room meltdown part 2 and the environment will be toxic there.

Grant Holt signs new 3-year deal with Norwich City. Along with John Ruddy's commitment to the club, is a great start for new manager Chris Hughton.

3 years?

Hmm, I'm thinking the whole "Transfer Request" was potentially due to length of contract renewal.

Just a thought.

Not even fair. I hope Romeu gets some playing time but it seems doubtful with the strength of that squad.
