I hope Southampton get relegated after sacking Adkins. Seems like a pretty stupid decision. _________________

Similar to the Hughton firing from Newcastle a couple years ago and that's worked out OK for them so far. Completely disrespectful of a guy that led them to back to back promotions to be sure, but this sort of thing happens when owners smell an opportunity. Royally botched the timing of it though, you'd think they'd have done it when the team wasn't on a five match unbeaten run... _________________

Pep Guardiola could of had any top job in the world. He goes to a job in where the club NOT ONLY buys all the wonderkids/top talent from the other teams within the league, but are also financially strong in that they can buy superstar footballers from other leagues.
Yes, the Bundesliga is competitive and other teams might win it from time to time as history shows, but FC Hollywood will always dominate the German league.
The only pressure Guardiola really has is in the UEFA Champions League.

Yeah, because taking over a Chelsea team that was basically built with him in mind, or a stacked City team with basically endless funds, or taking over United when SAF retires like some people were talking about as a possibility are tough jobs, right? |
I give you Manchester City, however.....
For Chelsea, he still would of had to deal with Roman Abramovich. The guy who fired José Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Roberto Di Matteo, Ray Wilkins. The owner who buys whoever he darn pleases and doesn't care about the manager. The guy who paid Porto €15 million for Andre Villas-Boas only to sack him and not give him the time to transition from Ancelotti's system to his.
And do you know the amount of pressure that the next person is going to have in succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson? Manchester United has always been in the discussion for EPL titles and are noted for producing out of the academy. So not only do you have to maintain United's level of success but you also have to do it while creating and forming players from the youth academy. It's not an easy job by any means.

Considering Perez is going to try for Klopp hard after Mourinho leaves... it won't be much of a challenge if Dortmund won't have a manager of the same caliber. _________________

I saw an Olympiakos fan saying that fans are happy with the firing. Insanity. There must be something terribly wrong. _________________

Apparently they said he's too defensive oriented. Just dumb when the man is leading them to a great season _________________

The real reason why he was sacked was that he was saying the chairman's wife _________________

That's harsh, he got fired for just saying the Chairman's wife. Imagine if he slept with her _________________
