2012 Training Camp Schedule

The Cardinals will return to Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff in late July to begin their 2012 training camp. The team will report to the campus of NAU on July 24 and begin practice the following afternoon on July 25. The club will break camp Aug. 21.

The Cardinals will be away from Flagstaff the week of Aug. 5 when they play two preseason games in five days. On Aug. 5 they face the New Orleans Saints in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, and on Aug. 10 they meet the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. In all, the team will conduct a total of 21 practices during their stay in Flagstaff.

On Saturday, July 28 the Cardinals will host a special "Red & White" outdoor practice from 11:30 a.m.-1:20 p.m. Weather permitting, the practice will be preceded by an outdoor full-team autograph session for kids 12 and under (10:45-11:10 a.m.) and conclude with a live goal-line session. The Cardinals also will have a night practice on Aug. 1 from 7:15-9:15 p.m. at the remodeled Lumberjack Stadium on NAU's campus. All other practices in Flagstaff will be held on the grass fields adjacent to the Walkup Skydome. In the event of inclement weather, they will be moved inside to the Skydome.

The collective-bargaining agreement requires that on days a team has two training camp practices, one of them must be a walk-through. On Cardinals two-a-days, the morning session will be a walk-through and the afternoon will be a full practice

Not a bad set up at first glance. Those 2 games in 5 days could be killer if Whiz isn't smart about things.

I am going up the 25-27th. Might try to go up on Saturday for fanfest with the wife and baby but, not sure if that would work. If not Saturday, baby and I will go up for the early practice on Monday.
