There is a good article about Connor on DC.com. tell me who you're rooting for then vote for who you think is the starter come week 1. _________________

I voted for Connor. I think his experience in the league and chemistry with Sean Lee will produce the best results for our team. But, I wouldn't care it Carter was the starter. Like Plan & Des said, may the best player get the job. _________________

I chose not to vote because one Andrew Fryar was not on that list. _________________

Good call. He is signed up for Flag Football this fall. Around here, it starts at age 6. Unfortunately, being the size of the average 8th grader, the coaches will probably put him on the line. _________________

Since you probably know more than the coaches you should just take over roster decisions. _________________

Uggh! Talk about a perfect way to kill a kids interest in football. Hey you can't hit anyone, so just stand here and try to get in the way of the kid in front of you. |

Smart coach would put him at TE and let him jump ball it _________________

| I think Stephen said that they'd give Bruce Carter all the opportunities to win the job regardless if Connor were injured or not, so I'm guessing Carter will win the job. Whether I want him to or not, who cares. |

Oops, I said the size of the average 8th grader. That was a brain fart. My son is 6 years old and is the size of the average 8 year old. He is 49 inches tall and weighs 60 pounds.
MH, I honestly don't think he has the hands to be a TE. I love my son to death, but the boy can't catch a cold, lol. I was shocked he caught the ball the Centerfielder tossed him at the game this past Friday. _________________

I agree let the best player play and I won't be upset either way. I voted For Bruce because I think he could be more of a versatile playmaker in our defense and create a bigger impact than Connor who will be the safer/solid bet. _________________

They both have their strengths and weaknesses so it doesn't matter to me which one "starts" as long as they play them to their strengths. If we're in our base defense and it's a running formation like double tights or a fullback we're most likely better off with Dan since he's a little bit bigger and stronger and more experienced where he would read the play slightly faster and fill the gap. If we're in the nickel or we're expecting pass and we need a linebacker to cover one of these superman hybrid tight ends like Jimmy Graham I'd be more comfortable with Bruce although I wouldn't be comfortable with any linebacker covering a freak like Jimmy Graham. Not saying Dan can't cover or Bruce can't fill the gaps just saying that they we have to play them to their strengths. Sean Lee is phenomenal but will likely need to take a series off here and there so there may be times when Dan and Bruce are on the field at the same time.
Assuming they can both read and react equally in Rob's defense, I believe that they'll both play close to an equal amount depending on what the offense likes to do thus making the "starter" just a title and nothing more. |
