I am looking for 31 other active and fully committed GMs who want to take part in a full seven round draft after the final cut down period. There will be no Free Agency. There will be a few extra clicks based off of discussion between GMs including a Trade Period and a Retirement Period.

Rules

- Only Sign up if you are committed to finishing. I have little patience for those who quit. Just know that you won't have to be online every night, only during your picks. The Draft could take around 2 weeks to complete and the entire process almost 3.
-No Free Agency. Assume all Free Agents sign to whatever deal your heart pleases (or pretend they didn't sign if you think thats what really will happen and draft accordingly).
- 1 hour time slots for rounds 1-5. 30 Min slots for rounds 6 and 7.
- If you're going to miss your pick, PM a small big board to myself, or someone you can trust who will help make the selection for you.
- A missed pick in any round will be voted upon by all active GMs at the end of the round--even if there is only one person on at that time.
- No trading 2012 Draft Picks.
- No trading future picks past 2014.
- Rosters must stay at or below 53 with the exception of draft picks.

TIMELINE
Now through ????: Sign Ups. I've PMed this well ahead of time to gauge interest, and to get some of the most active users on this forum.
Day after we fill all GM spots: Trade Window Opens (12 PM EST
~Trades are to be accepted by both sides (posted in this thread per usual) and be within reason on the trade Value Chart. I will not babysit trades. Be responsible.
Day after trade window opens: Retirement Period (see below for details).
Trade window opens: Rosters Lock. The 53 man roster each team has at kickoff of week one (8:30 EST) is the roster each team will use going forward.
September 7th (Sat.): Draft Begins (see below for details).
September 20th: Draft Concludes. Everyone has their GM rocks off for a few months before we come and do it again (maybe Bowl Season).

Additional Optional Fun
Coaching Changes: Teams that finish in the bottom ten may hire a college coach to replace their current coach no questions asked. Bottom 10 teams will add their coaching change to their first post of the draft. So if whoever is picking #1 overall wants to change coaches to a current college coach, they post the player they are picking, with the coach they are switching to also on that same post. OR bottom ten teams may PM GMs of other teams and ask about coordinators. The responding team can simply say no, or be a cool fellow if they feel the move would be realistic and allow the coordinator to walk--they will not have to designate a replacement. Optional and fun to think about.

Retirement Period: On September 4th, AND ONLY September 4th, each team may designate ONE "Retiring Player". This is really just to add some realism to the offseason--showing each other GM which players are expected to retire next offseason. Nothing more, so be realistic. I will keep an updated list of the Retired Players on this post and GMs will be able to see a bit better which names might finally be out of the NFL next year. Optional, and cool to look at.

Determining Draft Order: Anyone who feels their team is going to be picking in the top ten next April may pick their draft position as they sign up (ex, "I'll take Cleveland, and Brandon Weeden is going to be terrible so I'll pick #1"). This will randomize things a bit. This should help avoid a CB being taken #1 overall (it's never been done). Again, trying to add some realism. Anyone may decide they are going to be in the top ten picks (keeping in mind this means that the next 6 months really sucked for you). We'll use the power rankings from a website (hopefully FF) to determine the remainder of the draft and any missing picks after week three of the preseason.

I am taking either New England or Green Bay. Depending on if my potential PMed Green Bay GM wants to do this or not. Please let me know if you see something that seems incorrect on this post or have questions.

I will start a Depth Chart Thread when each team has a GM and a Draft Thread as well.

Keep in mind we are a long way from starting guys. We have ten teams signed up day one but it may take another two-three weeks to fill the rest.

I'm PMing a few potential guys for the difficult to fill teams occasionally right now.

If ChaRisMa wants to start doubling up I’ll take the Bills as well as the Bears.

Were waiting to start until after the last preseason game unless everyone wants to move it up that bad. My thinking was that for the first time since the end of last year we will know the actual roster after the preseason and based on the preseason games we'd be able to formulate new opinions our our need positions. Plus this time of the year we need time to fill GMs and there is usually an influx of desire to do this once preseason ends. I'm still occasionally PMing potential GMs to fill up the roster.

There are still a few teams I was trying to let fresh meat get a shot at but I'll PM the regulars now.

I'm not really in a rush to start, just trying to keep the thread active so people notice and sign up.
