CB Eric Wright

Draft
1st Round #16: Manti Te'o, MLB, Notre Dame
Quote:
A year ago are linebacking core was pretty bad no one could tackle. We got rid of Geno Hayes and drafted David and Goode. Now with us drafting Te'o I feel like are linebacking core is set. This makes Foster move over to SLB and have Black back him up, even if Te'o gets out we can up Foster back at MLB and Black at SLB. Te'o will ancor the MLB spot and Goode can play the 3rd down cause he is a thumper in the run support. Now that we drafted David last year he will start the WLB and have Watson backing up not only the WLB but the MLB and SLB. Te'o played great last year with 7 double digits tackles and a total of 120 tackles and 5 sacks. He was going to be a easy first rounder last year but came back to school.

2nd Round #45: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
Quote:
The Bucs have a need at CB before the FA and Draft last year. They did get Eric Wright in FA but they over payed him and think he is a soild #2 CB. I for one think he is better suited for slot but now that the report came out about a felony DUI we don't know if Coach Schiano is going to get rid of him. We did draft Keith Tandy but he is a slot CB and can be put at the safty stop. Before any of this we didn't even know about what was going to happen with Talib but now he isn't found guilty and hopefully doesn't get suspended. We did get Barber back but he is going to play his last few season at FS. With that said we needed to get a CB early I was looking for Amerson at #8 but he got picked. Trufant has the height that I like at 6'0 and not only that has the speed to keep up with the top speedester in the game at 4.42. He had 2 INTS and 14 pass brake ups. He played great VS RG3 in the bowl game. He has some blood lines in the NFL with his brother Marcus Trufant playing for the Seahawks.

3rd Round #73: Hakeem Smith, S, Louisville
Quote:
The Bucs Saftey play last year really was bad. Sean Jones couldn't tackle worth anything and Cody Grimm got injured. Last draft we traded back and drafted Mark Barron. He will be at the SS spot for years to come cause we are high on him. Barber came back and he is going to play the FS spot for the end of his career. The reason for drafting Smith is that he is a good tackler and run defender that's what this team needs. Another plus is that he was playing in the Big East and Schiano came from there so he knows this kid.

3rd Round #89: John Simon, DE, Ohio State
Quote:
The past few drafts the Bucs have drafted 4 D line players (McCoy, Price, Clayborn, Bowers) 1 has come out to what we were looking for and that is Clayborn. Bowers looked alright at the end of the year last year but he has torn his knee up, but its has always been a probelm that's why he dropped to round 2 and not getting drafted in top 15. Bennett came in last year and played good. He is on his last year of his contract and if he plays like he did last year then he will be looking for a big contract. Clayborn is set at the LE spot, he was slow at the start of the season but he came out at the end of the season and recored 7.5 sacks. Simon can back-up any spot right now we have Bowers and Te'o-Nesheim just backing up. Simon isn't that best pass rushers but he is great at stopping the run and the bucs last year were in the bottom of that stat.

4th Round #104: Justin Pugh, OT, Syracuse
Quote:
Are line wasn't the worst last year for this bad team that players quit on. We have are starting LT in Penn, we went out and spent a good amount of money are one of the best gaurds in the game in Carl Nicks, he will be playing the LG spot. The C spot was Faine last year but we cut him and put Zauttah there because he played when Faine got hurt. The RG spot is set with Davin Jospeh. Now with the RT spot Trueblood did bad last year with penalties and sacks giving up. He has a bad attitude and he needs to get that over with. Pugh plays LT in Syracuse but he should be able to either back up or start over Trueblood. There is one more thing about the o-line we need depth there.

4th Round #109: Cassius Marsh, DT, UCLA
Quote:
Like I said earlier are D-Line is full of young players that have the potentional to be great. Just one problem with them they can't seem to finish the season. McCoy, when in can make this team better. Last year after he got hurt are rush defense went down like crazy. Price has had some bad times this offseason with his sister and he had the bad injury to his hip/hamstring. We did go out and sign 2 DT in Okoye/Gibson. Okoye only signed a 1 year deal and Gibson, a former Rugters signed a 2 year deal. We need depth every where on are roster so now I think I could go BPA. Marsh has a value of a 2nd round I think. Marsh has some great quickness but needs this college season to produce more.

5th Round #136: Philip Lutzenkirchen, TE, Auburn
Quote:
Kellen Winslow lead that team last year in receving yards. He is gone now cause he doesn't want to listen to the new coach and he doesn't want to show up to OTA. We did sign Dallas Clark but he is winding down cause of his old age. I traded for Chris Cooley, who is going to be my #1 TE and we still do have Luck Stocker. Stocker still needs to learn a few more things to get better and what's not better to learn under Clark and Cooley. Schiano is bringing in the power run game and we need that TE that can come in and block. Lutzenkirchen had 7 TD's last year but that's not his best part of his game as he is a good blocker. He blocked for Dyer and Newton when they were at Auburn. This mite be Clarks last year so we will have 3 TE on the roster.

6th Round #166: Andre Debose, WR, Florida
Quote:
We mite as well get more wepons for Freeman. We already drafted Lutzenkirchen and traded for Cooley. Are slot WR spot is up in the air right now between Preston Parker or Arrelious Benn. I think getting Debose in the 6th round is a good pick value. Debose didn't have the number you look for last year but he didn't have a good QB. Debose has blazing speed at 4.38. With that speed he broke 2 65 yard receving TD's againts Morris Claiborne and Dre Kirkpatrick, both who are in the NFL now. He is going to be put on the PS right now untill he can show that he can beat out the other WR at slot.

6th Round #168: Ron Powell, OLB, Florida
Quote:
I know 2 Florida players back to back but I think both of them I got good value on. When I drafted Te'o I told y'all that are linebacking core was bad which is was. That made Foster move over to SLB and have Quincy back him up. If Quincy plays bad whenever he comes in then Powell can come in and take his spot. Powell was the #1 player out of high school but hasn't showen much of it yet. Right now he is playing the DE/OLB spot for the Gators defense and like everyone says you can't have to many pass rush on your team. That is one of the things we were lacking at last year.

7th Round #200: LaAdrian Waddel, OT/G, Texas Tech
Quote:
Like I said before when I drafted Pugh we need to get some depth at the O-line even if he is on the depth chart or the practice squad. Are line is set with the signing of Nicks and now that I drafted Pugh hopefully he can come in and start over Trueblood. Waddle is a big dude at 6'6 332. He has been playing for Texas Tech at LT for 2 years now. If he can't take the pass rush off the edge in the NFL he can move inside to guard that is why I am drafting him because he can play either Tackle or Guard.

7th Round #201: Brad Madison, DE, Missouri

Quote:
Like I said when I drafted Simon we need some DE cause we don't have depth behind Clayborn/Bennett/(Bowers,who is always hurt). Madison will start on the PS but if he can beat out Daniel Te'o-Nesheim then we should and will have one of the youngest DE tadem in the game. Like I said when I drafted Powell you can't have to many pass rushing players. He is a project right now, he needs to be more consistent.
