Hey CWood, two questions:

1. Could Sean Porter play OLB in Pittsburgh's 3-4?

2. What do you think of A.J. Klein from Iowa State?

idk i cant remember pitt having a lb that small before seems like their lbs are always a good 250+ but still kinda speedy. very good question though. porter is one of my favs in this draft.

According to what I can find, he's 6-1 230. James Harrison is listed on the Steelers site as 6-0 242. If he can add some weight without it costing him, I think size wise he can make it work.

Thanks for the info though, I think he'll be a good player for whoever he ends up with. Just hoping my Steelers can find a new OLB to take over games.

ill tell you this though porter plays bigger than his weight like poor mans von miller (as a 3-4 olb). him facing jake matts and luke in practice for 2-3 years is a good thing. also him playing 4-3 olb this year helped him get better in pass d. imo he is a well rounded player now and can play olb in a 3-4 or 4-3

i thought harrison was 260-270lbs range.

1.) Could he? Sure, but if my memory serves me correctly the Steelers prefer their rush linebackers to be a bit bigger. Porter weighed in at 231 at the Senior Bowl, which is around what he was listed at under the A&M website. He's shown the ability to rush the passer (put on the 2011 tape), as well as drop back into coverage (2012 tape). He's getting a lack of love right now as a poor man's Von Miller. Needs to bulk back up if he wants to play in a 34, but down the road I've got no issues of him playing in a 34.

2.) Like the kid, just not nearly as much as Jake Knott. Both seem like the SAM type to me, and think he could be a good value pick later on in the draft. Could probably get him late on Day 3. Probably will have to kick him inside in a 34 defense due to limited athleticism.

What's your round prediction for Swearinger and Cyprien?

Nice catch.

Like I said earlier, I've heard as high as the second round on Cyprien. I've got him going in the 2nd to 3rd round range. Really good SS prospect there that is just now starting to get the publicity for his play. Similar grade on Swearinger.

Elam is definitely too low... as is Jamar Taylor.. but hey, to each his own.

Not overly pleased with the Taylor ranking, but Matt Elam is getting severely overrated on FF. Slight above-average in coverage, but an absolute [inappropriate/removed] poor tackler. Too often goes for the big hit and forgets to wrap up. Not the biggest safety either. Screams pure SS to me, and the average size has me concerned. I've got a 5th round grade on him tbh.

Pretty low on TJ McDonald eh? I'm guessing you think he's never going to get past his struggles in coverage? Do you see h as a in the box guy only?

Do you think he could bulk up and play OLB? He's already fairly big.

He just isn't that good. The USC hype train got a hold of him and refuses to let go. Just not great in coverage, and not a true SS although I feel that's where his long term home is.

Could he? Sure, but I still think the five technique is his most natural position. Love the movement skills in a 34. Feel his value doesn't come as highly in a 43 defense, but that might just be me.

Ogletree is just a great football player. Want to dock him because of the off-field stuff but having a hard time doing it. He's going to fit in a LOT of schemes and I think come draft day he'll end up going before Manti Te'o. Almost certainly will be a top 20 pick come April.

As for Trevardo Williams, I'm a believer that a year in the weight room and he's going to be a stud. Extremely raw, but tons of natural athleticism there. Needs a bit of work on moves as he's not real diverse, but I think he's going to be a really good one. Extremely productive this year.

Personally I feel it's the opposite. He doesn't have the bulk to hold up at the point of attack needed in the 3-4. Though he could still gain weight in the pros. There is even some who feel he could be an OLB in that defense which would suggest that he is indeed too light to be an DE. I don't like that idea either actually. He's an interesting prospect with so many different views on where his best position may be. 20th is a pretty fair spot for him. I do like him more than Montgomery though.

Solid list.

Not only does Jarvis Jones have Spinal Stenosis but he'll be 24 next year. I could understand him being a top prospect if he was putting forth this production at 20 (like Damontre Moore) and didn't have his unfortunate condition.

A few questions about your Big Board. Do you think Jarvis Jones will go where you have him, or do you think he drops? What about Milliner and Ogletree makes you think they're that great? What do you like about Mingo to have him that high?
