So, I was looking for something to do to take up time. I decided to create a hopefully fun based random "card" game in fantasy style. I never played Magic the Gathering or anything like that so you will have to bear with me and my ideas.
Basically, this is going to be a game in which you play cards against each other. The cards will be all kinds of random characters mostly from movies. You can buy upgrades and animals as well.
Rules:
All players start off with 5 "cards" and 100 points. Any player can challenge any player to a match. The winner of the match earns 25 points.
The Match will be all random deciding. I'm going to use either chatzy or something to pick the winner between the cards. Based on upgrades etc, the ratio will change.
Example:

It will be A vs. Q; B vs. R and so on
A vs. Q will go against each other. If player A has an upgrade in offense and Q doesn't have an upgrade in defense. If player A wins on the first roll, player Q can't defend. |
It will go offense vs. defense and magic vs. stealth
| Code: | If there is a +1 in offense vs. +1 in magic, it will turn into the best 2 out of 3.
If there is a +1 in offense vs. +1 in stealth, it will turn into the best 2 out of 3.
If there is a +1 in defense vs. +1 in magic, 2 out of 3.
If there is a +1 in defense vs. +1 in stealth, 2 out of 3. |
The ratio will increase based on the number of points in the four divisions. People will challenge in the thread and send me their 5 cards to play. You must keep track of your own upgrades, cost and how many points you have left. I'll keep track of the standings. Win/Loss Record and Pts Earned.
Characters available:
271- Players
19- Animals
**if you get an animal card, you automatically get a +2 in stealth. I didn't give any upgrades to player cards. It is too difficult to determine who should get what so, you all will have to buy your own upgrades.**
Store:
3 pack of characters- 25 points
1 animal and counts for a +1 in defense- 25 points
+1 to either; offense, defense, magic or stealth- 25 points each
Random to buy:*all are worth 25 pts.**no matter the animal, they give a +1 to defense** You choose which animal you want.**

Honeybadger
Leopard
Pitbull
Spider
Phoenix
Wolf
Horse
Owl
Cat
Challenges:
You may be involved in only one challenge per day. As of now. This timetable will change in the future.
**I have the right to adjust rules as I see fit. I may add some as well if issues come up. I'll also add more characters if needed.**

I'm hoping it works out well enough and catches on. I think it could be fun with alot of smack talk going on. I do expect the rules of the game to be elaborated too at some point with more people joining. But simple might be better too.

Ok everybody. I did the character cards for you all. Make sure to keep track of your roster. And you can challenge anybody you want with playing your 5 cards. Remember to message me the order with all upgrades if any. Also, the cost of things are in the first post of the thread.
Congrats to you four for being the first ones. I didn't randomize it for me yet, I'm going to wait till we get more people before throwing it in for me too. Or at least an even number.

If I use 25 points to "buy" three new characters will I see the characters before I release three? Can I have more than five cards before I battle someone or is five the max I can have at a time? Also, will the three that are no longer in my deck become FAs or will they go back in the deck?
