Madden 13 stopping the run

I need help stopping the run because my friend runs it 70% of the time and it works pretty well for him, he ran for 250+ yards last game. I tried blitzing with plays like free fire and saw o blast but it never works. And on the other side he just plays man coverage
against my passing game and it works because man is so good in this game.

Can anyone help?
