|
This thread is for discussion of the greatest basketball player of all time, LeBron Raymone James.
NBA MVP x 3
NBA Finals MVP
NBA ROY
NBA All-Star x 8
All NBA x 8
All Defensive x 4
Olympic Gold Medalist x 2
Easily the best perimeter defender in the league, can play all positions, best passer out of a double team in the history of the game and one of the most unstoppable scorers when he's on his game.
He should probably have 6 MVPs already but lol NBA voters. Many hate on him for his decision to go to Miami but he took the Cleveland Cavaliers to the NBA Finals. He can do what he wants after a miracle like that.
Here are some Youtubes of his great performances:

LeBron buzzer beater vs Magic - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fD1MNjkPFs
LeBron Game 6 vs Celtics - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7kkbpcgXI8
Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4..... |

Hes not the greatest but he can be. Ive always hated when people say MJ is untouchable and Lebron can never be better. But having said that, they have two different games.
BTW that game vs bucks was just pure greatness. _________________

| I agree. Even though I made this thread (mostly to get the haters mad) Jordan is obviously still #1. But LeBron is as close as anyone is going to get for a while and he's still in his prime. Enjoy the ride people. |

So you admit you made this thread to get a rise out of people? _________________

| If you're not a hater than nothing is wrong. I do believe I put more effort in the OP than any of your replies. |

Okay, so far, not good.
While I'm not happy with the "to get the haters mad" comment, I see you did put some effort into the OP and there might even be the potential for worthwhile discussion in this thread.
So this is really the only time I'll say this, everyone knock it off. If you want to maturely discuss the merits of James being the GOAT or not, be my guest.
Any personal attacks, trying to incite another member, etc will not be tolerated. This will be my only warning. _________________

LeBron James will go down as one of the top 5 basketball players ever. Whether or not he passes MJ remains to be seen. _________________

He still has at least 8 years of basketball left, but at this point I find it hard to believe he can accomplish everything Jordan did while also being the better all-around player.
If he can fully expand his post game while becoming a more disruptive defensive player (two things that are possible, but not probable) then we can have a discussion on whether he has passed Jordan on the court. But like I said earlier...it's going to be damn near impossible for him to pass Jordan on paper at this point. _________________
