Things I want to see in this game…
1. Let’s have a little positivity first…everyone is worrying about our Oline against their Dline…and rightly so but we will get to that lol…how about our Dline vs. their Oline…outside of Chris Snee it is a distinctly average group…the RBs weren’t the only reason they finished 32nd in rushing offence…their Oline is there for the taking if the coverage on the backend holds up long enough for Peppers, Melton and the rest of the guys to do their work.
2. I want to see more Matt Forte…the guy has been overshadowed all TC…as soon as he signed his contract all the media focus switched to the new offensive weapons…but all the reports from TC say he looks stronger & faster than ever before…going against a quality pass rush let’s get Forte involved to not only protect Jay but to take advantage of an average LB core.
3. Well we had to get here some time lol…our Oline has to hold up against their Dline…I’m not too worried about the interior guys…their DTs aren’t great pass rushers and both Garza & Louis have been very solid so far…whoever is playing LG needs to step up but we should be ok…the OTs have to have a good game…Tuck isn’t a terrible matchup on the rightside for Carimi but JJP & Osi will provide a massive test for Webb & Williams…if either can hold up we should have far more confidence in the LT position going into the season. |

I don’t think it would have done as good as many think…facing two quality DE is something that is pretty regular in the NFL so facing Osi & Tuck will be a great indication of what we are going to see week in week out…Seeing the 3 guys on the Giants roster is an anomaly…no other team in the NFL can rotate 3 guys of that quality...this will give us a lot more realistic view of what we have at LT…it will also allow us to gameplan the offence a little more freely than how we would have done. |

I'm sure we all remember the nightmare the last time we faced the Giants in the regular season. Here's hoping we don't set the record for sacks in a half again.
