Wondering how it affects UM, Wisc and OSU recruiting as those are the two primary teams that concern me in future |
For 2013 class? No one likely for us. They lost a DT commit to UNC yesterday. Other teams in the conference might benefit, but its still too early to tell who.
For 2014 class? They don't have any commits yet, but it could help us. 2014 OH LB Michael Ferns has named a final 3 of Michigan, ND, and PSU. Thought seems to be we lead the other 2, I'd expect the penalties to hurt PSU chances.
If they get a bowl ban and players could transfer, then maybe, but that is premature. |
Good info. LB is a position of strength lately in recruiting but still would be nice _________________

He have any previous issues while on campus? or is this the first time for him?
Whats the DC behind him as well (Even though I assume he misses less then 1 full game if this is his first offense) |

No previous issues for him. I would imagine Smith/Rawls would split time if Fitz is suspended. And at this point I wouldn't be surprised if this costs him his trip to Dallas. |

1st offense I believe.
Not sure on the order (I'm sure will play out in Fall camp), but the players are:
TR SR Vincent Smith
TR SO Thomas Rawls
RS FR Justice Hayes
TR FR Dennis Norfleet
I'd expect Fitz to be suspended for a game or two. _________________

First offense..
Sitting a game would be a fair punishment compared to other programs.
That will sting going up against bammer though. |

So much for him being named a Doak Walker candidate earlier this year _________________

He will get what he deserves. No one person is bigger than the program and what it stands for.
I am disappointed at Fitz for what he did but hopefully he will learn something from this and that it can all be taken away if you continue to make poor decisions. |

Heard from a good source that it could end up amounting to not much of anything more than a simple misunderstanding but we'll see how it plays out. |

Color me shocked you didn't mention MSU in that group.
Interested to see how Hoke handles these two players. Michigan fans(that I know personally) have been extremely critical of Mark Dantonio's discipline or lack thereof, and there probably is some validity to that. However, will Michigan fans hold Hoke accountable if there isn't much done to these players? Zero chance, at least with the large majority. |
