I have Ruddy on the bench but DHunt may have a point, although injuries and re-arranged fixtures can come into play. I don't really have the energy to do the analysis of the production possibilities of having an extra outfield player over a keeper. |
?
I just tried to replace a keeper with an outfield player and I couldn't do it... _________________

By one, I mean getting a 4.0 keeper as the backup, and not trying to have two decent ones. _________________

Yeah agreed. Its more a feel/situational thing, if you need/want someone and need that extra 0.5, the backup keeper should be the first to go to facilitate that. _________________

I know, but rad the last sentence in Wyzz's post. He's talking about dropping his backup keeper for another outfield player. _________________

Oh, I mid-read what was written in a previous post and thought it was possible to do, which I hadn't tried, but apparently it is not. _________________

Dropped Collocini and Shawcross for Kos and Gibbs. - Keep up this defensive performance Arsenal. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Still not wildcarded, and not a huge fan of my team but I am picking up points for now.
GK: Ruddy, Schwarzer (rotate based on opponent)
DF: Ashley Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Clichy
MF: Michu, Yaya, Hazard, Noble
STR: Suarez (barf), Tevez (barf), Torres (barf)
bench: Demel, Gunter, Britton
Clichy hasn't played at all so Guy Demel has been in my team twice. I wanted to get a cheaper Defense with Arsenal players in, but I just think that bubble is going to burst soon enough. Law of averages say you simply can't getting clean sheets, but fair play to those who got a cheap Jenkinson in early. _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

Jenkinson has been a nice cheap source for points, but Sagna will be back most likely by the time we face Chelsea in the league (could see him starting against Coventry to gain fitness, along with Wilshere)
Arsenal FB's have been mainly reliant on clean sheets for points which you're correct in saying isn't sustainable even for the best defences. I do think Gibbs is a wise play because he's been getting in good attacking positions and eventually I think he's going to start providing some assists to go along with his runs, but Jenkinson serves as more of a deeper lying link-up player on the right rather than someone who gets to the endline and tries to create goals. _________________

5-0 in the Head to Head. At least hopefully. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Think I might use my wildcard to get rid of Silva and De Gea. Should have used it last week but I forgot about this.
Dropping Silva really opens things up. I have 22.2m to spend on 3 players. 2 MF and 1 DF. Surprised the trend is to drop Pog. For 5m, that is a pretty good price for a starting ST.
I have as much money as I want to spend on MF not named Pienaar, Michu or Hazard. Is Carzola worth it? I know he is in the top 10 points but it was half against Liverpool.... _________________

I dropped Pog for Berbatov, who is extremely cheap for a player with 15-20 goal potential this season _________________

New Team
Jaaskelainen//McCarthy
Baines//A.Cole//Demel//Gibbs//Nelsen
Carzola//Ramirez//Pienaar//Michu//Hazard
Tevez//Berbatov//Podolski
Hope Ramirez pans out. I really wanted to pick up Lallana but Ramirez was too tempting to pass up at the same price. Why couldn't Ramirez be .5m for expensive _________________

My Team Currently going into week 5
Jaaskelainen/Mignolet
Hangeland/Ivanovic/Vlaar
Dyer/Michu/Felliani/Hazard
Tevez/Pappis Cisse/Defoe
Really wish Cisse would find his scoring boots though _________________
