This is really bad for this Cardinals team. Brown was starting to turn the corner at the end of last season and this is a team that can not afford injuries to our already weak offensive line. We have no legitimate options to replace Brown in house, but there are no legitimate options on the market. Chad Clifton comes to mind and there is really not much else.

This sucks Sad

Not that Levi was the greatest but, we don't have the depth. Who starts, Biridges(demoted from RT), Young, D'Batiste, or Potter? Massie is a RT only. BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD spot

Let the nate potter experience began!

this really sucks...for as down as i am on brown i honestly think he is our best lineman (yes even over our center), and honestly this screws our draft all up even if we are bad.

Pretty bad deal for us. Not only do we not have any decent enough to out play him in pass protection but we sure as hell don't have anyone who can block the run anywhere near his level. Run game takes a massive downgrade with this. This is not good.

Darren Urban ‏@Cardschatter

T Levi Brown tore his triceps. He is candidate for new PUP rule that would allow him back at some point. But rehab usually 3 months.

Darren Urban ‏@Cardschatter

Young, Batiste, Potter are LT possibilities. They know what Bridges can do and Cards want to look at others. Cards will look at FA options.

Going to be a Homer here and say I hope Potter win the job and does good.

Whiz just confirmed it at his presser.

Whiz said they're looking at outside tackles but mentioned the internal options as DJ Young, D'Anthony Batiste and Nate Potter. He said the team won't be moving Adam Snyder to tackle.

Possible replacements:
Brandon Keith?
Chad Clifton?
Vernon Carey?
Kareem McKenzie?
Max Starks?

In hindsight I kinda wish Anthony Collins didn't resign with the Bengals to be a backup or we paid Jared Gaither who didn't actually get that much money.

Max Starks resigned with the steelers. Keith is a RT why would they need him. Chad Clifton 36 year old and failed a physical. Reason he got cut.

Rock/Cards/Hard Place.

There likely is no great solution to this. Probably have to gamble hoping to get lucky finding someone coming off of an older/less serious injury to successfully fill the void...like Gaither did last year. We really might have to go internally with Potter and shift a TE to his side or even switch to 2 TE sets. Don't want to be a Debby Downer, but realistically this is not good news at all. Sad

Outside of Starks, everyone available is available for a reason. They're not very good. That said, we're desperate right now and desperate times call for desperate measures. We have to add somebody.

And yet the Patriots are bringing in Clifton for another physical. IMHO we should probably be contacting his agent as well about a physical!

Chad Clifton seems like a logical fit as someone who can play left tackle here. No matter who we bring in, that person will have a couple weeks to learn a new offense. This is a bad situation to be in.
