After watching the making of BB and TDK, I take back my comments. Apparently the complaint I had about the camera work in the hand to hand fighting scenes in the first two movies were intentional.

He made them look bad on propose? That doesn't sound like a good idea.

He said something along the lines of you arent supposed to see Batman for too long. He is supposed to be in and out of the scene to add to the element "walking amongst the shadows." So when you see that fight at the docks in BB you only see flashes of Bats.

That makes sense and it's a very interesting approach. Still is not excuse for every action sequence and how his action scenes don't stand out ashey should. Specially in TDK.

As Seminoles had been trying to tell you guys for too pages, this thread is about who is better at directing ACTION SEQUENCES, not movies. The titanic being emotional and memento having a poor ending have NOTHING to do with this discussion.

Lol, I don't think I've seen a thread this far off the topic in a while. In terms of best action, I'll have to go with Cameron.... for now. I really enjoy Nolan's movies, but Cameron has the better resume when it comes to action. That could change in a few years when Nolan does some more movies, since Cameron has all but said he will only do 2 more Avatar movies before retiring.

Except the action sequences in the Batman movies (minus TDKR) all sucked balls.

Nolan sucks at action sequences. The camera work blows.

The action scene in Inception with JGL in the hotel hallway is an alltime great.

This is Nolan easily IMO. His stories are significantly better.

Terminator and Terminator II FTW

Got bored in TDK as soon as Ledger came off the screen.

Inception was good, but was a one shotter for me. Will watch T and T2 over and over again.

It's weird. Nolan's action scenes are either really on-point or sloppy/rushed.
