If memory serves, he was struggling with an injury during the off-season. I'd imagine he failed his physical due to that injury, and it was clear he wouldn't be healthy in time for the season. | Ah, well, nevermind. _________________ Kate Upton for sexy President!!!

so I guess now it looks like they cut him because he failed the physical? I knew it had to be something, because I couldn't see them just completely cutting ties with him for no real reason.. the guy I thought was an average-ish safety. He's better than what a lot of teams have after their starters. _________________

I'd put him at below average, but not awful or bad. He is limited athletically though. |

His problem is he is a decent back-up but was forced to start for us because of injuries. He is no speed demon, that's for sure. He really isn't starter material. If you need depth he might be worth a look tho once his knee is healed. _________________

Doesn't really seem like anything special.
He'd be worth something if you are looking for competition, but with his apparent injury and failing his physical, I wouldn't go after him. _________________

He had off-season knee surgery, Im not sure why Packer fans keep saying he was asked to clean out his knee and didn't. It was known that it was iffy if he would be ready for the start of TC after he sat out OTA's. THe Pack must see something they like with their young safeties, Pep would still have made for a good insurance policy and has alway been a nice piece to have on ST. _________________

Simply put, WOW. Green Bay's secondary looks like it is falling apart compared to what it was when they wont the Super Bowl.
No Collins
No Peprah
No Tramon for a bit _________________

hmm... this makes it feel like they will be using Woodson as the FS and starting 2nd round pick Casey Hayward. _________________

It would likely be a first or second year player who has seen almost zero play time. M.D. Jennings, undrafted last year, or Jerron McMillian, a 4th round pick this year.
Both seem to have the edge speed wise on him, but obviously lack big time in terms of experience. |

If neither of those two work out, and since Charles Woodson won't play forever, I expect Greenbay to look for a safety very early in next year's draft.
Whats the time table for Nick Collin's injury? If he returns to 100% healthy, do you think the Packers will resign him? _________________

Tramon is a full go.
But both our starting safeties from the SB are gone now...One is missed sorely. |

I think there are about 26 teams for whom he'd be a decent pickup. The safety position in the NFL is in THAT bad of shape right now. _________________

| I expect the Packers secondary to struggle mightily this year, even with an improved pass rush. Though good thing for GB, they can score a lot of points. |
