Coleman created 10 turnovers and 6 sacks for the Jets and Jaguars in 2010 and 2011, so he should be able to stick with the team.

He was an excellent nickel guy for us last year. I wish him nothing but the best. He just kinda got lost in the shuffle with all the guys we have at CB. Him not being able to play outside effectively is why he was let go over some of the other guys. As long as he stays within that role, the Lions should be very happy with him.

I agree in his role as a nickle defender, but that's where we find ourselves in a fickle situation.. Chris Houston is the our only legitimate corner who can play outside. Aaron Berry was projected to start outside as the #2, but with his release we don't really have anyone that can take that spot. Alphonso Smith is best served and plays very well in the slot, as does Coleman and supposedly Jacob Lacey is best-served there but is still bad. We drafted Dwight Bentley, who was most-likely going to see time there as a rookie as well.

I can't imagine us putting Smith outside again, good things never happen. Maybe we give Lacey please no or Coleman a shot. All we can hope for now is that Bentley steps up in TC or we trade for someone. A distant long-shot is rookie Chris Greenwood, but he is making his living off of measurable's as he is injured.

I think he was dealing with concussion issues IIRC

Damn that sucks. He would look great in their nickel role

Sucks, but gives the Lions a head start to resign him.

Sucks, I really like him with Jacksonville and was hoping for the best for him in Detroit.
