He as a player should know he has to be in camp though and not be a 6th round hold out. You know how silly that looks? If his agent wants to hold him out for more money, he should flip him the bird and go find someone else. _________________

Jerry Mcd and Vic Tafur have been laughing at Raider fans all this past week for worrying that he wouldn't sign in time. Apparently was never even close to being in doubt. _________________

Expecting a 5th round pick to contribute is high expectations. I love it when they do, but I never expect it and I'm just happy if they make the team their first year. |

Nailed it!
This is exactly what I was going to say. If my agent caused all this hoopla over $14K then he should get whacked. Simple as that. They both look foolish. Even if the Raiders caved (which I doubt) and gave Criner an extra $7K, who looks foolish?? LOL. Surely, someone else finds this hilarious. Where's my Iverson inner voice when I need it? "We are talking about $14K, right?"
If Criner goes off and holds out next season. KEWL. But if he goes off in 2013 and pulls a Revis every off-season then he must go. _________________ 2013 Mancrush: DT Richardson, OT Joeckel, FS Vaccaro, FS Rambo, WR Dobson, RB Michael, TE McDonald, OT Foketi, WR Swope |

Criner signed in time for camp and there was never any doubt about it?
Seriously. Some of you need to find hobbies outside the Raiders. Talking about character flaws, cutting him if he ever wants more money, etc.
Just laughable how serious some of you take this and how you talk like you have any sort of clue to the situation. _________________

Naw, man. I would argue it is you that is over reacting. The overwhelming theme of those concerned about the situation is NOT that anyone was concerned about a true holdout. Relax on that notion. It's the pettiness of it. Only someone who thinks small believes it even worth bringing up $14K. The surrounding black cloud of Criner that adversely affected his draft stock was character.
I've met Criner very briefly in Vegas. He was very chill, very cordial & reserved but he was surrounded by a huge entourage of boisterous cling-ons. Personally, I'm just commenting on a good kid from the hood whose getting bad advice. I DON"T think Criner is in no way a character red flag, however I think the people around him is what is bringing him down (ie making him look bad)
As a native Las Vegan, I'd like to see Criner do well. Hopefully he will decrease the size of his inner circle and let maturity distinguish between bad advice. No one suggested the sky is falling, merely that this situation is laughably petty and ghetto. I cannot speak for everyone else but I do think, collectively, fans are merely putting voice to their frustrations of the pettiness of it all. No need to go on the attack. _________________ 2013 Mancrush: DT Richardson, OT Joeckel, FS Vaccaro, FS Rambo, WR Dobson, RB Michael, TE McDonald, OT Foketi, WR Swope |

Criner's a Nevadan? I've got a whole new motivation to root for him now. _________________ Bah-Weep-Granah-Weep-Nini-Bong
