Argo

A touch slow at points, but also really good at the slow burn and it just kept building suspense throughout. Really well done, and despite knowing the outcome, it really kept the tension up. Argo **** yourself.

Getting into Hitchcock. Ironicaly right after Halloween Embarassed

Watched:
Rope
Psycho
The Birds

Got these as well, but havn't watched them yet:
Strangers on a Train
Rear Window
Vertigo
North By Northwest

Rope is a really underrated movie. Enjoyed it almost as much as Psycho.

Any other essential Hitchcock I need to add to the collection?

I like almost all of Hitchcock's films(except Torn Curtain and Topaz, those were pretty meh), and my favorites are less popular(Rebecca, Shadow of a Doubt, and Marnie), but I would say you have probably picked the best as far as starting points go. Maybe add The 39 Steps if you want to see his British work.

Finally was able to watch Due Date. I thought it had it's moments. It was pretty funny but not one of those comedies to watch over and over again.

Just finished watching the Sting. I'd seen it when I was probably like 12 on a small little TV, so it was basically my first time seeing it. Easily one of the best movies of the 70s, on par with the Godfathers and any of Kubrick's films.

it's a great movie. but the 70s is a great decade

Without a doubt I'd put these above it

French Connection
Aguierre, Wrath of God
Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoise
Solaris
Badlands
Chinatown
Dog Day Afternoon
Cuckoo's Nest
Taxi Driver
Network
Deer Hunter
Days of Heaven
Apocalypse Now
Alien

ahead of it.
and that's not really insulting it

Yea, I've seen all of those except Days of Heaven, Aguierre, Discreet Charm and Solaris and I don't know if I could say the Sting is unequivocally better than any of them, but its at least on that level.

I liked it as a one time watch but it wasn't good enough to watch over and over again like you said. It had its moments but it got very weird towards the end.

I am one of those people that I really didn't enjoy one of those movies. I saw the whole trilogy as well.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo >>>>>

Just finished watching flight as well.
