The title says it all. Why don't they hold training camp in their own state so their home fans get to see them? Any explanations for why they do this? _________________

Not sure, I always thought they did it because it's too hot. _________________

Why can't they go inside? The Texans have an early practice outside then later in the day they go inside. _________________

It's something the team has done since its early years in the league, even before they were given the moniker of "America's Team".
Knowing Schramm, it was a way to give the team more exposure nationwide. _________________

I have never understood why teams dont hold their training camps in high altitude like colorado or utah? I know that the 49ers had a player die a few years back after a preseason game and there are certain players like ryan clark who cant play there at all. but still with the proper medical staff problems like that should be able to be avoided and it would only help players get into shape faster _________________

i dont think the Broncos have shown enough of an advantage over other teams for this to be viable. |

yes but the benefits of training in high altitude are well documented. just because the broncos suck doesnt mean that this argument doesnt hold water _________________

Training in high altitude allows a team/player to be more well conditioned cardiovascularly. However, if that's not an issue to a team and they can get in shape enough at their own facility, then it does't serve as much of a purpose.
As well, it could actually impact the team more negatively if QBs are learning their timing with their WRs in the thin air, kickers are getting their skills crafted in thin air and then it all moves to a place with different conditions (ie. windier, more humid, etc). IMO, it's best to practice in the area where you'll be playing the majority of your games. _________________

It is because they are an Eastern Division team. Right?

They've bounced around but mostly Californis. They spent a few years in Wichita Falls when I was stationed there in the late 90s... but that place gets crazy hot. Whats the weather like where they're at in California? _________________ Stay low boys.... keep those feet moving!

It's not like we have it every year there. But I am glad when we do.
A lot of it has to do with the weather. There is about a 30 degree difference. Which is brutal.
Also you culminate that with the ability to have a clean break from distractions. No family, no regular hot-spot activities. A pure focus of football and team unity.
And...Jerry enjoys the notoriety of having the camp at several locations. _________________
