I was speaking to Kenny the other day and he's confident Fitts will return. It was just a pretty big bomb to drop an 18 year old, especially when he's days away from enrolling. _________________

And we'll be mediocre again next season and hopefully Haden and Kiffin are fired and replaced with people that want to win. |
It'd be a pretty illogical move for Kiffin to be fired at this point. You can't put this recruiting class at risk, and you're better off letting Lane taking the lumps with the sanctions still in place. | What's the point of 5*s if they play together as a bunch of 2*s?
You guys make it seem like * hunting is the best part of CFB. If Lane offers this class and gets 8 wins is that better than a guy coming in and giving you 9 while having a class around #15 overall? _________________

That's exactly what I'm saying. While Stanford and Oregon are recruiting well, we're usually bringing in more "talented" recruiting classes. Yet Stanford and Oregon are winning Pac-12 championships and BCS bowl games while we're losing in the Sun Bowl to a team that finished 6-7 in the ACC.
It's pretty obvious that Lane Kiffin is in over his head at USC. He's a great recruiter but he sucks as a coach. I really don't want to have to see 25 bubble screens a game while we're losing to teams we shouldn't be losing too anymore after this season. _________________

2013 Schedule: (and my predictions)
Aug. 29 (Thursday) at Hawaii [Win]
Sept. 7 Washington State [Win]
Sept. 14 Boston College [Win]
Sept. 21 Utah State [Win]
Sept. 28 at Arizona State [Win]
Oct. 10 (Thursday) Arizona [Win]
Oct. 19 at Notre Dame [50/50, homer pick but I see us upsetting the Domers]
Oct. 26 Utah [Win]
Nov. 1 (Friday) at Oregon State [Win]
Nov. 9 at California [Win]
Nov. 16 Stanford [Lose]
Nov. 23 at Colorado [Win]
Nov. 30 UCLA [Win]
If we get to the Rose Bowl, I'm good. Not too happy about our early home games though, crap teams. _________________

I feel more confident about beating Stanford at home than I do going into Corvallis and winning on a Friday night. The schedule doesn't seem too bad, though, and it's definitely a possibility to make the Pac 12 title game if a QB can really step up. _________________

The offensive line needs to step up. Hopefully with another year under their belts, Banner and Simmons can contribute next season. Lord knows we could use some more beef on that line. _________________

Max Browne is nice and will most likely start next season. If our offensive line can step it up and give him time in the pocket we should be fine.
And let's not act like Wittek is a lost cause quite yet. He showed some promise against Notre Dame and while he did struggle against Georgia Tech the wind played a factor. But I still expect Browne to start next season and play pretty well if our offensive line can give him time and Farmer and Agholor step up. _________________

I hope we give Zach Banner a look at left tackle and slide Aundrey Walker back inside to guard. _________________

He'd be an excellent hire. I hope we start recruiting the same type of defensive players that we recruited during the Pete Carroll era. _________________

Nickell Robey declared for the draft. And we still haven't hired a defensive coordinator. _________________
