To be fair to Matt Flynn, T.O. dropped a wide open TD pass, but if Seattle wants to put out the QB who gives them the best chance to win ball games, they clearly should play Russell Wilson

It's not about numbers, it's about talent. Russell Wilson is simply a greater threat to a defense to stretch the field vertically and has uncanny improvisational skills.

I didn't see the game, but was Wilson playing against the #1s? Has he yet?

No he hasnt yet. Hopefully he gets that chance next week. To be fair though, he was also playing with the 2s on offense when he was going against the 2s haha so it kinda balances out. I think he deserves a chance to get a look with the 1st team offense

Although I know that the cash is big in this determination, I was very impressed last nite with Russell Wilson, showed touch, a good arm, poise and really avoided the rush well.

I look forward to seeing what Russell Wilson can do against NFL defenses that are scheming against him and using all the tools at their disposal. I don't think that will be this season though.

With Jackson due $4mil, SEA might contemplate cutting him if Wilson keeps this up.

Do you think he'll get that chance? I think the Seahawks have more invested in Flynn than they want to admit. Right now it's silly to court the idea that Wilson should start over him - they can always stick the rookie in later if it doesn't work out, but Flynn is going to start.

I say Flynn will start off but Wilson will be on his tail, I will give him 6 below average starts before we see Wilson under center.

I really like Wilson. But I'd go with Flynn to start and then Wilson if need be, because it is less messy than if you had to go the other way.

Tarvaris doesn't have a spot on this team. John Clayton just reported that he's played his last snap as a Seahawk. He's either getting traded or cut.

I don't see why the Montgomery, Alabama Subway would trade for him at this point when they can sign him from his on-file application in a week or so.

Cut....he has absolutely no trade value.

I would agree with you, but it's already been reported that we've been in talks with several teams about him, so clearly there is some interest. I don't think we get anything for him (at least I don't see how we can) but I wouldn't shoot down the possibility.

Well, Ive seen stranger trades.

I guess some team with a really bad backup situation could give up a 7th or so.

Though it helps, it doesn't "balance it out". I'd be interested in seeing him against 1s, particularly a good defense.

Yeah who cares? Its a 7th rounder, it might be worth it for a backup QB. 7th rounders usually end up doing nothing anyway. I don't think he'll be traded though, I think he'll be cut and then signed elsewhere.
