My homer self was considering taking Tannehill at 5, but with with David Wilson there I couldnt really justify the pick at that moment. _________________

Oh, certainly not a bad selection. To be honest, I guess I haven't done my homework. I didn't realize some of these guys weren't on rosters already. I could definitely use them on my team. _________________

Wasn't completely sold on my next pick so i took a look at the FA's and there are some good names in there that can help some teams out. _________________

Also, just to go a little further into why i'm picking for bookend's vacated team... Which by the way, still haven't received a PM or anything from him which is not cool. If any of you ever want out, just tell me. Don't just leave and ignore my PM's and not check in. msmre did that this off season and now bookend has done it as well. Not the way i want this to be handled here.
Anyway, i said that if you miss your pick in the 12 hour window that is provided, you lose it. That still stands. So i wanted to give him a little longer to see if he ever checked in. When he never did, i felt it was proper course to select for his team, using a rankings list like i am off of Rotoworld as to have all personal bias erased. I'm going this route for 2 reasons. One, because it's not fun trying to find a replacement mid draft. And 2, i could just let his team have no new influx of talent because that makes the team much less attractive to potential replacement owners.
Just wanted to touch base again on this topic so we are all on the same page as to what is happening/going to happen. As always, if anybody has concerns or questions or suggestions to me on how i'm running things or questions as to my logic behind something, please just ask. This is our league. We make it run as a group, not just me. So if something is going on were someone isn't comfortable with what's happening, just let me know.
Your Commish,
Justin _________________

I get why you're picking. Since he won't have the team, it isn't fair to punish the future owner.
As for my most recent picks, I was surprised Keyshawn was still available. Right now he's being given the opportunity to steal a starting job from the incomparable Kevin Walter. I like his odds.
Those of you who were following my pre-draft analysis knew that Charles would find his way on my roster. News out of Cinci is that there will be a ton of two TE sets, with Charles playing the Hernandez/Scheffler/Dreesan/Olsen roles from NE/DET/HOU/CAR's 2 TE packages (respectively). If he's good enough his role could expand even more.
McClain is just a hope that he takes over for Tolbert's productive FB position. News out of Chargers camp suggests that he will. _________________

TRADE:
BF004 receives WR Torrey Smith, WR Kenny Britt and 2013 1st round pick.
Ketchup receives QB Robert Griffin III and 2013 4th round pick. _________________

Ketchup you came strong there. I was close to making a trade proposal on RGIII but simply couldn't make my mind up on going that strong for him. _________________

Yeah, thats a pretty big blockbuster.
RGIII already has quite the history of teams going hard after him via trade. First Washington, now Ketchup. _________________

It was a big trade and I lost so much depth for an un proven rook but its a QB driven league we have here so I took the risk. _________________

I think that this trade will result in one very clear-cut winner. Either Griffin is dominant and Catsup wins the trade handily, or he's average/poor/injury prone from his size and style, and the Smith/Britt combo (with the possibility of a good player at the pick) should blow it out. _________________

I'm glad you didn't, there wasn't much left besides him in terms of potential impact rookies. _________________

Love the big trade! I love it when owners in a league are willing to wheel and deal, rather than being really conservative and static with their rosters. _________________
