Okay, so after careful consideration, I've decided to completely rip off HH's thread and attempt to run a UFC 3 Sim League.



This idea is in the very early stages, but my ultimate goal is to allow members to create their own UFC fighter, and put the results to the ultimate test, head-to-head competition in a UFC octagon. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great.

Yeah the "Attributes" seem to max out at 90 for created fighters, and "Stats" max out at 100. Remember both get progressively more expensive as you increase them.

Basic CAF Template (Example of finished fighter)

NOTE: Anything on here can be randomly selected through the game.

"Basic Information"
-First Name
-Last Name
-Nickname (Available Nicknames, apparently no nickname is not an option.)
-Age (18-45)
-Hometown
-Fighting Out of...


"Fighter Abilities"
-Style
-- Navigation Style (MMA A, MMA B, MMA Frank Mir, MMA Sean Sherk, Upright Boxer, Flicker, Muay Thai, Muay Thai Kendall Grove, Wrestling, Karate, Tall Fighter, Low Guard, Face Guard, Diablo)
-- Stance (Orthodox, Orthodox and Switch, Southpaw, Southpaw and Switch)
-- Lefty/Righty (Pick one, attacks with that arm/leg will be slightly stronger)

-Stats
-- Attributes (Strength, Speed, Cardio, Footwork)
-- Skills (18 categories)


-Technique (For now it'll be easiest to stick to the provided templates, Technical Boxing, Powerful Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Karate, Freestyle Wrestling, Greco-Roman Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Sambo, or Judo)

"Physical Appearance"
-Body
-- Skin Tone (Describe however, I'll do what I can)
-- Height/Physique (5'11" - 6' 8". Physiques on two scales, muscle tone and mass. Let's go with 1-10, one being least ten being most. For realistic results, taller fighters should have less "mass")

-Head (Extremely in-depth, I'm bad but not terrible at emulating faces, find a pic online and I'll do what I can.)

"Hair"
-Hair Style (59 available styles, describe one or use a pic and I'll do what I can.)
-Facial Hair (Me simplifying 4 individual categories)
-Body Hair (Describe, I'll do what I can.)


"Gear"
-Trunks
-- Style (Normal, Tight long, Tight medium, Tight short, Tight extra short, Boxing)
-- Color

1. Sprawl & Brawl
2. Sprawl & Brawl (Boxer)
3. Sprawl & Brawl (Kick Boxer)

Immediate questions:

-What weight class? (leaning towards 155 lbs)

-Should there be some sort of stat deduction for height? (there is none built in to the game, but typically taller fighters have a slight advantage in the game. Not sure if tht is true in COM vs. COM fights though.)

-How should the customization of faces be handled? (I'm thinking a rough picture from the internet could be used as a template.)

I think there should be a penalty to stats if you're guy is tall - I think we can keep it realistic with the people we'll get though.

My reasoning behind Light Weight (155 lbs) is that cumulative damage seems to lead to TKOs/KOs almost every fight in the game, often in the first couple rounds. Obviously, the bigger the guys, the more damage dealt, the quicker fights are ended, and the more random it seems. It would be fun to see some big boys go at it though.
