I don't get why Rodwell would go to City, he's going to be bottom of the pecking order! He's ruined his chances at England now as well. _________________

I have to assume, we're going to sell De Jong to Inter. He'd take De Jong's place this campaign. _________________

PSG was trying to get Benzema for €35+ million euros. Hahaha. We don't sell our stars PSG.
| Quote: | PSG has already spent €143 million this season which, in addition to Sheikh Al-Khelaïfi’s first year investment, makes a total of €249 million. The multi-millionaire French club owner does not understand why not one Euro of this investment has ended up in the Real Madrid offers. Even though, since his arrival in Paris, he has tried to secure Mourinho's best players but keeps coming up against the same answer.
First up was Benzema. The French player turned down an impressive offer last season to become the standard bearer for the Parisian club. He would have been the best paid player in the history of French football but there was no convincing him. Benzema is committed to winning titles with Madrid. He knows that it is the best possible shop window, with the best possible coach, leading him to choose two things over the money: titles and winning the Ballon d'Or.
Al-Khelaïfi did not give up that easily. He then went to Florentino Pérez but did not receive a better response. The offer could have been irresistible for Madrid. It by far exceeded what Madrid had paid Lyon for the player, €35 million, but it was not a question of impoverishing the field to boost the accounts.
Benzema already had the support of Mourinho. If the offer had come during the Portuguese coach's first year when he had serious doubts about the French player’s quality, it would have been harder for Florentino to say no. |

Apparently Wolves, Betis and Fiorentina are looking at Pedro Geromel. We haven't got a prayer going up against those two though. _________________

Good signing for Rotheram, he'll slot in nicely in their midfield. He fits Steve Evans' system quite well, I'd expect a promotion bid for them. _________________

Was that meant to be Rotherham?
Or some bizarre mix of Rotherham and Amsterdam.

The latter. They've been building an underground road between Rotherham and Amsterdam for the past 4 years. My uncle's friend's cousin's pen pal's sister's boyfriend's brother's ex's dad was in charge of the construction. They were planning on announcing the combination of the cities in a couple days. Guess I ruined the surprise. My bad. _________________

Rodwell is 12m rising to 17m according to BBC. That is great value for him. _________________

| Quote: | Speaking after City's 3-2 win over Chelsea in the Community Shield at Villa Park, Mancini talked of the incoming midfielder as a player for the future who must get used to competing for trophies.
"Jack Rodwell is a young player who needs to improve to play at this level," said Mancini. "He's a good player for our future, I hope. I liked Jack last season and for this reason we bought him.
"He's doing a medical at this moment. I think he's a good player, he's young and it's the first time he'll play to win things. It will be difficult for him but I am sure in a couple of years he will be a top midfielder because he's strong." |

I guess this is Mancini's way of saying that he is done buying for now, and he is looking to buy for the future of the club. Honestly with some talent around him, Rodwell might become a solid player, but I don't ever see him becoming a top class player.
Honestly, he can put him at CB now cause he is much better than Savić. _________________
