That's shocking. |
I'd love to pair him with Claiborne again.

I wonder if he will go the Janoris Jenkins route and transfer to another school or the Mike Williams approach and declare for the draft at the end of this year. _________________ Quote from May 7, 2013...

As a soon to be freshman at Alabama I'm excited that he's not with LSU this year but on a serious note I hope he can get his act together enough to get to the NFL. _________________

Best case scenario it's for doing drugs. I'd rather just re-sign Jenkins, if healthy. |

I could have sworn ESPN had a report earlier that he was dismissed for for violating their substance abuse policy... _________________

I thought I read otherwise. Just went back and read it and its kind of confusing with the wording. The first paragraph says it was a substance abuse policy, but then goes on to say that it wasn't a legal issue. Very odd...
http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8255988/lsu-tyrann-mathieu-kicked-team-violating-rules
| Quote: | | LSU's dismissal of 2011 Heisman Trophy finalist Tyrann Mathieu from its football program on Friday came after the cornerback's repeated violations of LSU's substance abuse policy for athletes, a source with knowledge of the situation told ESPN.com. |
| Quote: | | Miles confirmed it was not a legal issue. "Both," he said when asked if the dismissal was because of a team rule or a school rule. |
You would think that substance abuse would be a legal issue _________________

Maybe he had a drinking problem? Hence why it would not be a "legal" issue...

kicking one of the best college football players off your team is kind of a big deal, it doesn't seem like a being late to meetings type of thing. _________________

If it violates team rules, it doesn't matter if you are the 3rd string punter or the star player. You get kicked off the team or you start losing the trust of your players because they realize you play favorites _________________

star players always get special treatment it had to be a big ongoing issue for him to get kicked off the team _________________
