| I tried to find when they will choose the MVP for the year, does anyone know when that will be annouced? |

I think its Saturday before the Superbowl or day of. The other awards are during that week though.

Why do they wait? Does what a player does in the playoffs count at all?

I'm pretty sure its all done w/ before the postseason. I think it has to do w/ marketing before the game.

No, playoffs performance does not count. The ballots from the AP had to be in before the wild card weekend.
