the packers are mostly a pass first team anyway, I'm not too concerned about this.

Meh.... But it might put a smile on my face when some one on the bears lays the wood on him.

I can think of a few who will be lining him up after the fumble in the superbowl.

Unfortunately for Benson those 3 are Urlacher, Briggs & Tillman Laughing…Izzy was on the roster back then as well.

Why? The guy has averaged less than 4 ypc in 4 of the last 5 seasons and is a non factor in the passing game. I'd be more worried if they re-signed Ryan Grant. Benson is the definition of "just a guy".

I'll put my money on Briggs.

He'll probably be awful all year long, but have two great games against the Bears. Just our luck I would think.

That's assuming he doesn't run into his own OL....or trip over Rodgers' ankle.

A friend of mine injured Andre Johnson (career-ending) on a Robbie Gould kickoff tackle in his Madden franchise. Laughing

Not sure what Benson has left in the tank...we've all seen him when he's focused and gets lots of carries... he can be a player. Problem is, that in GB I don't expect him to get a lot of carries. He's going to get 10 a game max even if he starts. He averages 3.8 a carry over his career and can bust a 20yder or 40yder from time to time when he's getting fed the ball a lot.

Over the last three years in Cinn when he's had his three 1,000+ yd rushing seasons he's averaged 300 carries per season..that's almost 19 carries per game. Does anyone (Bear or Packer fan) think that he's going to get those type of touches in GB? Nah...not happening.

Not saying it's a bad signing for the Pack...if they can get his head in check and put him in the right positions to succeed they may get some production from him....but even if all that happens I'm not expecting much.

Benson and his terrible vision seems like a bad fit in a zone blocking scheme.
