Lee Evans has been released by the Jaguars.

Though I personally don't think we should get a receiver who was cut by the Jaguars of all teams, a lot of so called experts think we might go after him. What do you think?

In his prime he was a pretty good receiver. I think he has lost more than a step though. Don't know what he has left in the tank.

I could see us possibly bringing him in for a look...but highly doubt it.

If he can't make it in Jacksonville, he's done.

No!!! Why does the media and a lot of others keep thing that we still need to sign a veteran WR? Why can't we just wait out the 4 preseason games that still remain and the 3 more weeks of TC and practices back at Valley Ranch to see what we have!

Signing a vet now, is nothing but a progress stopper for our young guys who are looking like legitimate candidates to step up and take the spot.

who knows, the guy has never been in trouble, who knows if this woman is crazy, not for me to judge. If he could our #4 its worth a shot. IS it worth the extra media attention if he came here? ( as if they dont get enough)Can he play slot? does he have anything left? Will he play for the minimum? It wouldnt hurt to kick the tires on him and see what he can do

That's right Cool .

But as others have stated,we just need to see what we have with these younger receivers before we even consider bringing in a veteran.

I think we really need to bring in a vet WR soon, my first pick would have been Braylon, as of now I'd take Chad over Evans or anybody else, baggage and all. I'm all for letting the young guys fight for the #3 WR spot, but at this point I don't have faith that Miles and/or Dez can stay healthy for the full 16 game, and I really don't want an unproven WR having to start.

All this 'Signing a vet' talk reminds me of Peerless Price. That worked out well.

I wouldn't mind Evans, as he at least has the ability to stretch the field and can play a bit in the slot. He would be good insurance in case Austin's hamstring is a chronic issue (seems apparent that it is).
