Scott Pioli gave his Top 10 for this year's draft class.
1. Luke Joeckel, OT
2. Dee Milliner, CB
3. Sharrif Floyd, DT
4. Bjoern Werner, DE
5. Jonathan Hankins, DT
6. Eddie Lacy, RB
7. Jarvis Jones, OLB
8. Keenan Allen, WR
9. Alec Ogletree, ILB
10. Gavin Escobar, TE
Pretty interesting to get a former GM's opinion. But maybe this is why he's a former GM. |

| I'm hoping the Jets just bring in a Matt Moore/Chad Henne type to be the starter next season and just have Sanchez back him up. I don't want to spend a Top 2-3 Round pick on a QB this year. Just fill the other needs in this year's draft and attack the QB position next offseason when Sanchez's contract comes off the books. Either through the draft (assuming they have a Top 5-10 pick) or in FA (I'm not sure who is going to be available). I'm fine with sucking next year as long as the front office realizes it's a bridge/rebuilding year. I just don't want them to do something stupid--like draft any of these QBs at #9--and set the franchise back even further. Take an honest look at where the team is and just build for the future. It may be another 1-2 years before this team has the talent to be a contender. Just don't do anything foolish in an attempt to win 7-8 games next year. Be honest and take your lumps. |
