Sounds like Andy was right when he said Asante's play was on a "steep decline". Seems like the Eagles sold high again, and even though we only got a 7th, we got Bryce Brown and the cap room that was freed up to make Shady happy.

I know it is the norm for him to miss a few games during the regular season, but is the only solution to this problem having a capable back-up QB? Obviously the injury to his thumb during the Steelers game could have happened to any QB (I suppose the same argument could be made for the rib injury as well), but I had unprecedented confidence in this team before Vick took that shot. Maybe it's just reality settling in. Does anyone think these injuries are just coincidences? Has a full offseason really improved Vick's poise in our offense, or are we just going to go into every game thinking, "man, I hope Vick leaves this one alive?" That's not the kind of thing I want to be thinking in the back of my mind when I have so much confidence in this roster's potential to win football games.
