Say what you want about his age...
...But this kid has the wit, the arm, the talent around him and the God given ability to be the franchise QB of this team.
I have heard/watched every one of his interviews since he has been with the Browns, I have heard the coaching staff gush about how he progresses in practice and I have seen him do it from week 1 to week 2 in the preseason (granted it's a small sample size).
I am projecting he progresses again this week against "vanilla" 1st team defense of Philly...
Lemme remind you, we havent see Weeden play a week with a workhorse RB in the backfield.
I don't wanna be the guy, but I think the Browns have their guy at QB
Opinions?
Here we go Brownies, here we go! _________________

He really needs to work on screen passes. He scares me to death on those plays. _________________

Agreed, but he hasn't thrown 1 screen pass in live game situations to the starting RB.... _________________

That's true BUT he has badly missed, like I don't think LT in his prime could catch some of them. _________________

I hear you, but the name of the game right now is progression. He will learn and it is early. It'll get there. _________________

at about 4:25 of this he talks about meeting with Coach Shurmur and going over the scripted plays and the plays he likes... I like that. I like that Shurmur and Weeden go over what works and what doesn't according to the guy who plays the game/executes the plays. This is the same philosophy that Brees & Sean Payton have.
This is the reason I think Shurmur will make the leap as a good head coach in year #2.
He can be the HC, he now has an OC and a returning QB coach.

Agreed, which is why we looked better against Green Bay. Play action is what makes the WCO work. _________________

Hypothetical.....
If he impales the RB with the ball on a screen, and the RB still gains yardage, we get to keep those yards, right?

Yall will be drafting Tyler Wilson next year if Weeden is the starting QB for season tbh. _________________

Just stating and opinion, don't feel that Weeden is anything special, and the Browns will have a top 5 pick next year if he's the starter the whole year, just hope they don't pass on a real QB prospect next year because Weeden is on the roster. _________________
