| Sounds like Golson won't be sitting out the entire game, just missing a small chunk of it. |

Kelly just wanted a reason to start Rees. I don't like it. _________________

13-3 at half.
Overall, a good half. I do feel we let some good opportunities pass us by and we were very lucky that Dorsett dropped not one, but two deep throws that would have been TDs. But we deserve to be in front because we have executed better so far.
This is the best I have seen of Golson all year. Great threat both through the air and the ground and is showing off his arm strength. Defense could be better in the back. I feel we have settled in though and have looked better now that we are accustomed to their team speed. I am very surprised we have not gotten a lot of pressure on Morris yet.
Still very much a game, we can't let up. _________________

Offense has put up 263 yards and is on pace for their best output of the year. Need more than 13 points.
Our defense has done a decent job of bending, not breaking. Miami should have 10 points, at the very least. Can't allow the big plays. |

Lovin' the line play. Our O-line's making it easy for everyone to look good.
Golson's playing much better, but we caught a couple lucky breaks there tonight as his fumbles either went out of bounds or his knee was just down. Even with that, he's much more settled down and taking what the D gives him. For the first time in awhile, that's all we need to win because we have the supporting cast to get the job done. As long as he doesn't turn the ball over, I'm happy. |

* We are giving up less than 8 points per game.
* We have never trailed at any point this season.
* We just ran for 379 yards.
* I LOVE this team. |

What a great team we have. We took off as soon as Golson came into the game. Our line was absolutely dominant at the point of attack and our running game was incredible tonight. Wood, Riddick, GA3, and even Cam McDaniel were all ripping through Miami with ease given the open space they had. Nearly 400 yards rushing is incredible.
Defense continues to do a great job and we eventually were able to overwhelm them. Only 3 points allowed in the end. An all-around dominating performance. This has all the makings of a 10 win season. I can't remember being so confident in a ND team before. Ironic that this team came into the year with little hype compared to last year where we were expected to step up and folded badly.
We must be getting over well with recruits. _________________

This is the best I've felt in years about our squad. We're not winning with smoke and mirrors (even though a couple breaks went our way), we're legitimately playing like a team to be reckoned with on a national level.
As long as we can control our turnovers, we're good enough everywhere else to keep winning. It's been a long time since I saw us field a complete enough team to still win with a freshman QB learning on the job.
Kelly deserves a ton of credit for how we're playing, and we'll be lucky to hold on to Bob Diaco after this year with the job he's done with the defense. |

College Gameday will be in South Bend next week. So will Priest Willis, Chris Hawkins, and Max Redfield.
HUGE HUGE HUGE game. I can't wait. |

Up to #7 now in the AP poll.
Call me biased because I'm looking at this through Shamrock colored glasses, but we should be number 5. We're a better team than K-State and West Virginia. They're better at the QB position, but we're the stronger team and have the better wins resume so far. |

At the start of the season I had many doubters about ND winning the national title this year.
How many are still doubters? Not very many. |

Congrats on the win guys. Still hate ND!
Thoughts on the game. Any momentum Miami could've had was sqandered off the bat. Dorsett dropping to TD catches. Highsmith's dropped INT. Personal foul. Miami shot themselves in the foot. Exactly what I expected them to do. Our defense is probably the worst defense we've ever had. Kind of sad. It's time we start to show some pride in the way we play. Our D pretty much packed it in. Good luck the rest of the year! _________________

I think the best case scenario for Miami was a shootout. ND's offense went right up and down the field with impunity. Even the second stringers moved without so much as a shred of resistance.

A lot. The best team we've beaten record-wise is 4-2. |

We are now 2nd in the nation in scoring defense.
13th in total defense. |
