I haven't really been paying attention lately (with getting blown out and the Te'o scandal and whatnot) but I do know that we have Eddie Vanderdoes, Kylie Fitts, Durham Smythe, and I think a couple of other recruits on campus this weekend. |

Understandable. Was a pretty tough January. lol.
Damn. Big weekend. Eddie V is a monster. Would be a huge pickup. _________________

Rumor is Ty Isaac is visiting next week, as well. |

The rumor about Ty Isaac visiting has been going around for a while now. I will believe it when I see it. If he does visit, I wonder if ND is pursuing him as a 3rd running back with Greg Bryant and Tarean Folston or are they thinking about turning him into an OLB like UCLA did with Anthony Barr.
I hope if he visits, it isn't because the staff doesn't feel good about Bryant or Folston staying committed.
This weekend is a huge weekend. If ND can get Eddie Vanderdoes, they have a very good chance at the #1 recruiting team in the nation. Getting Ty Isaac to visit and if by some long shot he changed to ND would almost make them unpassable.
Just think, if we can get a commit from Eddie V, that would give our class four 5* players. Just wish Anzalone didn't flip from us. |

Just wanted to update some recruiting tidbits about the weekend:
-Apparently, ND went into the weekend with hopes about a commitment from 3/4* TE Durham Smythe. Well they got that when he popped for ND
-ND also went into the weekend feeling very good on its position with Eddie Vanderdoes and initial reports are that the visit went very well and ND loves their chances with him. EV came out and said before his visit that he was going to stay quiet until National signing day. Don't expect too much info on him.
-According to experts, ND did not feel that good about its chances with 4* DE Kylie Fitts and 4* LB Deon Hollins Jr. Reports are now that after the visits,ND knocked it out of the park with both prospects and ND feels very good about their chances with them. Kylie Fitts put ND right at the top of his list and Deon Hollins loved his visit and his father, who is spearheading his recruitment, is all for ND
-Overall, I expect ND to finish with Eddie Vanderdoes and that is it. I do not feel confident with Fitts as he has come out before and stated he would like to stay on the West Coast. I would love to add Hollins to the mix as well. His size and explosiveness is a clear image of Prince Shembo but I feel he will ultimately stay with UCLA and Fitts will join him there. |

Last week we landed a preferred walk-on punter.
Class should be finished unless Eddie Vanderdoes signs tomorrow. |

HUGE get with Eddie. He's going to be a great player.
Good finish to the class. Most important thing was keeping our guys and we did that. _________________

Vanderdoes will wear #3.
Seriously, WTF is with our DL and single digit numbers. |

Fanatastic class we got there. I will look forward to watching them all grow with us for the next 3-4 years. Especially some of those defensive recruits. _________________

Think EVD gets redshirted? Or will he play early? _________________
