Wow, Carp on the 53?, He must be closer to getting back than the media thinks.
and, I'm not a fan of keeping TRU, He didn't look all that great as the Nickel. _________________ Adopt-a-Hawk

I'm glad we kept Tru. He's one of my favorite Seahawks and I didn't think he looked bad at all. People are really overly critical of him for whatever reason.
I'm actually surprised Martin made the team. I figured it would be a similar situation to Thomas Clayton last year. _________________

Except Martin will actually play in games. Clayton wasn't gonna get any reps behind Marshawn/Leon/Justin. Plus he looks like a good ST'er.
And I was reading that Carp might actually play this season.
And Tru is very solid in the nickel. He can also play the run well, which is important for us. Plus we don't have anybody else who is clearly better in the slot. _________________

Think of Tru as a team leader and the best fit to backup Browner or Sherm if either goes down.
Who else is going to start? Lane? Maxwell? Adams? Wouldn't feel nearly as good with either of those as I would Tru. _________________

Martin did everything that was asked of him, he won the job just like RW3 won the job.
He ran good routes, caught everything thrown to him, was great on special teams, and was very good at blocking down field. _________________

Don't mind Martin he seem's like a pretty solid receiver wish one of the younger guy's had stepped up though because Martin is 28 years old. _________________

I'm still of the opinion that Deon Butler is the better player. And younger. Not a fan of the pick really, but good for Martin. _________________

I think he's just a temporary roster spot while we develop some of the guys on PS. With all the roster moves Pete makes, I doubt Martin is there for long. I think you can find a guy with a higher ceiling. I though Durham or Lockette would fill the spot for sure. Just goes to show how much I know. I'm glad Edwards stepped up - I just hope he can sustain it for the season. He and Wilson looked like they had a good chemistry in the pre-season.
Biggest surprise for me was Toomer. I thought he would make the 53 for sure. |

The only questionable player to make it IMO is Omiyale...he did not look good. Once Carpenter is completely healthy, he should be gone. _________________

If you're making a pros/cons list for Omiyale the only thing on the pro list would be that he has experience playing in 4 of 5 O-Line positions. It makes him a decent depth player but he's not great at any of them so you don't want him being anything more than a stop-gap or temporary injury replacement player. |

Just noticed Walter Thurmond didn't make the roster. Is he starting on the PUP or what? _________________

Mine (I took the liberty of switching Flynn and Wilson from what I originally had because I made it such a long time ago and obviously would've switched them if I had redone it before)

Bolded is where I was wrong, I had Carpenter listed as PUP so I than added Cordarro Law on. Also added Winston Guy, who I probably would've had on there if I hadn't accidentally counted Thurmond.

Martin is a far better special teamer and very close as a WR. Deon is a slightly better receiver, but neither are going to see a what they were thinking. _________________
