I'm most surprised about Okoye considering how they have released Okam (who was more of the NT), and Brian Price. I guess they really are high on EJ Wilson, but I hope we pick up a right guard or right tackle before the season starts _________________

Like you guys, I'm really surprised with Tandy and Okoye being cut. I thought for sure Amobi was a lock to make this team. _________________

My assumption is Okoye's knee just hasn't responded from the surgery as the team had hoped. Wilson appears to have made the roster on the d-line.
I think Tandy was more caught up in the numbers game. More of a cover safety, which this roster is pretty loaded. Guys like Barber, Black, and I would Smith makes the cut.
I would think they like Johnson and Gaitor for the 4th and 5th spots at DB. I would be pretty shocked to see Lewis make the team. |

Something tells me that Myron Lewis makes this team as a safety. |

Keith Tandy's agent, Adisa Bakari, jsut told me Tandy has not been cut by the Bucs. |

Reports of Cody Grimm's release may be premature. Neither Grimm nor his agent have heard of a release, according to agent Eric Metz. |

Im glad Tandy made the roster. _________________

I'm inclined to agree with you, I think we're set at RB as well. But if N.O. can keep all those talented backs... I mean, hey, we're supposedly going to be much more of a running team than they are.
It'd definitely be tough justifying using 4 spots on the RB position, though. _________________

I'm more content with Larsen playing RG and keeping Zuttah at center, but just saw someone flirt around with the idea of signing Koppen to start at center and bouncing Zuttah over to RG.
Personally, I think Zuttah is better at center than at guard, but maybe that's just me. Plus, Zuttah has been making the line calls all preseason and to change that right now would probably be insane. _________________

I was gonna post this about Koppen. I think that's our best route. Zutah has and can play guard and Koppen is a solid establish vet.
Hoyer is interesting. Could be a nice 3rd qb development. I think we should keep 3 qbs if our staff is worried about te rightside of the ol |

Hoyer would be an upgrade over Ratliff, I'd be a huge fan of that. But I'm sure he'll try and find a team where he can go and be their consensus #2.
Who knows, I mean Koppen is definitely smart enough to make line calls... but is it wise to make the switch so late in the preseason? I'm pretty torn on that... _________________

I'd be down for that. I'm far more concerned with finding a mauler at RG than a finesse player who shines at pass protection. He'd fit well with what we're trying to do on offense.
*EDIT* Asked in the cuts thread in General why he was cut, and got this for an answer...

| EJ Wilson dt/de has been cut as well. Wonder what our plan is bc we're only getting thinner on defensive line. |
