One of the greatest TV shows ever created. Started watching last year and finished it this summer.
The character development in this show is incredible and unmatched. I have never seen a show properly and artistically develop as many characters as The Wire.
What was everyone's favorite season? Mine is a toss up between Season 2 and Season 5. I just LOVED The Greek/Frank Sobotka plotlines in Season 2, and I LOVED the adult to teenage interactions in Season 5.

Let me rephrase- that's my favorite scene.
The best has got to be the Spider-Man scene. |
That scene really is GOAT. I also really like the final Snoop and Mike scene.

I tend to be in the minority that my favorite season is the second. That and the fourth are the best to me the 3rd next, followed by the first and then the fifth.
All seasons have the good points though, some just have more than others, and Nick Sobotka's girlfriend provided some upside to season 2.
But overall season two is so well written and it was such a huge leap for the show to take. It introduced us to the biggest criminal in the entire show in "The Greek", and it is no mistake that he is also one of the characters that is shown the least. It highlights his spot in the background.

Season 2 is the "Stevedore Season", no? If so, it's my favorite as well.
