^^^ The irony of Stringer though was he thought he was above the streets, he was nothing more than a big fish in a small pond who got devoured by a bigger fish (Clay Davis, sheeeeeeeeeeeit)when he entered a larger pond.

Just wondering who else noticed a certain big wig cop in a certain bar during Brother Muzzone's search for Omar.

Rawls rocking the sweater in the "gentlemans only" bar?

It's those little things in The Wire that you only pick up on the second or third viewing that make it such an awesome show.

That and the connection between Randy and Cheese, though that is more assumed than confirmed.

I also love how they deal with that Rawls situations, basically put it out there for you to notice, then drop it completely, basically saying, yeah, these cops do have lives too, and not always how you think it is.

http://sepinwall.blogspot.co.nz/search/label/The%20Wire%20season%201%20%28Newbies%29

A good place to start, this guy goes through The Wire episode by episode. First two seasons he has a veteran's edition and a newbie's edition as in have seen it has not seen it, and for the last three seasons I beleive it is only vets.

Well worth a trawl through.

Randy/Cheese is speculation during the course of the series, but it has since been confirmed by Simon (I believe).

Yes, noticed Rawls, I like they didn't force anything more than that split second viewing of him there.

Interestingly enough there has been people say that in earlier seasons Cheese is refered to in some police documents as Cheese "Flagstaff", I have never seen it though.

I noticed that the first time, I completely missed Randy and Cheese though.

I was surprised they completely avoided using Rawls relationship at all.

What was the point of using it? What would it have added to story? The point was made in the 15 seconds of air time. He is here, you know what that means, these guys have lives too, moving on.

With all the manipulation and blackmailing going on, I was just surprised nobody found out.
