You guys are talking about Patterson in the other thread, who I really like, but I doubt he'll be there.
The guy I'm really starting to warm up to is Rutger's Brandon Coleman. Finally got a chance to scout him and, I'm not just saying this because they're both Scarlet Knights, but he reminds me a lot of Kenny Britt. That's the type of receiver I would love for Russell to have. _________________

If Coleman declares I can almost guarantee he won’t be there win we pick. _________________

Probably not, but it seems like we've been saying that with a lot of players _________________

What if every player get’s picked before us and we don’t get to draft anybody. _________________

Brandon Coleman playing on ESPN right now if you want to see one of the top receivers that might declare for the draft. _________________

So with today's win the Hawks 1st round pick sits at #25. It could 'rise' to no 'better' than 21 if I understand the tie-breakers correctly AND they get beat in Washingon next week. If they win the # would go to not higher than 24. There's a lot of talent available at that position, but I'd bet the farm we'll see PC/JS trade back to the 2nd round for more picks.
& also bet that means they'll try to fill some holes with big FA acquisitions. _________________ "We have met the enemy & he is us."- Pogo |

Agreed. 1 big FA acquisition will be key for us going into the draft. As of now, we have too many starting needs to fill them all via the draft. _________________

I think a kicker is a pretty big need for us going into this draft. We are constantly punting while we are in range for a 49 or longer field goals. With how precious points are, we need a guy who can kick those longer field goals. If we could only find our own Blair Walsh... _________________

hopefully he declares | I'm not near as in love with him as some of you seem to be. He's nice and a first rounder, but he doesn't have a whole lot of explosion. _________________

You know what I love about this team is that there is no needs. We have begun calling WR a need, but really have are very serviceable there with Golden Tate, Sidney Rice, and Doug Baldwin. We could improve there, but it is definitely not a NEED. We have also been saying that RT is a need, but really now that Giaccomi has cut down on the dumb penalties, that is not a very big need. We have said that we need a pass rushing LB, but it is really just our fan base who says we need that. Carroll has never mentioned wanting a pass rush from the LB position.
Really, we dont have any needs. We have positions that we could improve. Really what this team needs to do is develop, and then they will become elite. That is what is going to make this upcoming draft so much fun, we are just going to draft BPA the entire draft. _________________ "Trying is the first step towards failure"
