Still, with Mac holdover Matt Russell running the player personnel department, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see us make a run at any of the New England castoffs from today; Hoyer and Kopper only top the list, they don't complete it. Hopefully Elway and Fox have enough sense to say no. _________________ big_palooka:

Names which stand out to me:
-Anthony Armstrong as a deep threat
-Chauncey Davis at DE
-Darius Butler at CB
-Sage Rosenfels as back up QB
-Josh Johnson as back up QB _________________

Love Darius Butler but do we have room?
Every one of those players are upgrades. _________________

I would take Troy Nolan from the Texans. That cut is a big surprise to me and a foolish move by the Texans.
I don't know what the story is with Johnny White and the Bills but I'm a bit curious about him. I wish the Broncos would give him a workout or something.

Hanie is better than Josh Johnson. _________________ Stop slobbering over Brian Dawkins |

You're kidding right? Russell, from the only real college football program in Colorado, learned one lesson, stay away from anything McDaniels ever said. |

Looked better than Cassel did here. He also was a 3rd round prospect in my eval. Still can't believe he was cut. Honestly would take him over Hanie. Though I think Kolb and Flynn killed any value he had.

He was an undersized guy who made up for it with smarts and quickness. Now he's an undersized guy without quickness. |
I'd agree w/ this. He gets manhandled by NTs. But he was a guy I expected to get axed. IMO Connolly, McDonald(limited film I've seen but he's younger) and Wendell are better. if he stuck it'd have to be Waters is done. _________________

Sage is unquestionably an upgrade over Hanie. |

Raiders signed Joselio Hanson and got rid of DVD. No scholarships for Al Davis draft picks any more ... _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

Reggie is not interested in continuing Al Davis's 4X100 Olympic team.
Strange to see logic in the Raiders FO. No more watching Raider fans defend these terrible draft picks like DVD year after year.
A lot like the Broncos cleaned house post McDaniel's. It's refreshing. _________________

The thing is, I thought he flashed a bit in man coverage last year. I know Dennis Allen played a lot of zone coverages with us last year; any info as to why DVD has been released? Not trying to be critical, but CB isn't the Raiders deepest position is it? _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

I don't like a GM in Oakland who actually knows what he's doing... _________________

DVD flashed in camp the first week. He was burned repeatedly in preseason games. He had no ball skills. Couldn't locate the ball to make a play. He's also frail. Frequently out muscled for position with the ball in the air.
They started having him field punts in camp to see if he had STs value, he didn't and couldn't cover on kicks and punts.
With them adding Hanson, he would have been the 5th CB. But he brought nothing to STs, so Reggie kept Francois and Adams over him.
There might be something there for a team to develop, but the dude needs to get bigger and stronger. Has to develop ball skills and learn to tackle. _________________

I would like to see Danny Gorrer on this team. I think he's better than Tony Carter and could be one of this team's best special teams player potentially. _________________ Stop slobbering over Brian Dawkins |
