I thought it would be nice to have a thread for players being released around the league who Denver may be interested in signing. We need OL help for sure and there are a slew of other positions that could be improved.
The Patriots release OT Dan Koppen, I think he may be a decent pickup that we could keep over Blake or the other awful 2nd/3rd stringers. _________________

| MLB Greg Jones, he is head and shoulder above our LBs other than the starting 3. |

| Brian Hoyer and Senaca Wallace would be great pickups for a backup QB. I know everyone says "If peyton goes down we might as well tank'. Well if he goes down for 1-2 games with a minor injury, we are losing those 1-2 games with our current backup QB's, and that could mean we lose a playoff spot. |

I think Hoyer is a guy the front office should look into. He's not special like most of the Pats fans around here used to claim, but he's definitely an upgrade to what we've got.
I don't know that Greg Jones is an upgrade. He was an OK prospect, but obviously hasn't transitioned well to the league so far.
Koppen interests me. I'm not sold on any of the guys who will start week one on the interior. Not Beadles, not Walton, and not Ramirez. Veteran leadership in that interior could actually go a long way. _________________

Depends on whether or not they feel Osweiler can back up Manning this year. If they don't, a vet like Hoyer would be good. |

Rumblings have been they want to upgrade Hanie as the backup. _________________

Hoyer is a product of the Pats system, nothing more. Fools gold. Stay away. _________________

| Dwan Edwards was released by the bills. If I'm not wrong he wasn't waived so we wouldn't have to worry about that brutal contract. Other Bills players have come out on twitter and said that edwards actually played really well in camp. Maybe worth considering instead of someone like Unrein? |

I'd be interested in giving Antonio Dixon a shot, he got cut from the Eagles. _________________

Koppen intrigues me, but it makes me wonder what it is we don't know. _________________

He was an undersized guy who made up for it with smarts and quickness. Now he's an undersized guy without quickness. _________________ Shut up, NBT |
