Yeah this should have happened a while ago. He's been the best QB on their roster for what, two years now? Glad to see him finally get his _________________

way better choice than having Kolb start. exactly like I said in the other thread, Kolb has been worse than terrible. I think that the Cards should go out and bring in Matt Moore, unless there is another QB out there that can be had that is better.
Skelton over Kolb is probably what Fitz wanted, and I would go with whoever that guy felt more comfortable with. I couldn't imagine Fitz wanting Kolb over Skelton.. he can't play with a guy who cant stay in the pocket long enough to deliver the ball to him. _________________

I was so scared when trade talks came up and the Vikings were in the mix. I always thought Kolb was overrated and would suck given the chance. Good choice AZ, but it wasn't a hard one. _________________ The Heist. |

I think a top 5 pick is still inevitable for AZ, but you have to atleast go with Skelton. the Cards should have a good idea in what they have in Kolb, and they would probably be better off parting ways with him now than hanging onto that ridiculous salary. Maybe pickup of Hoyer or Seneca Wallace to back Skelton up. |
Cutting Kolb now actually costs the team money against the cap. |
you would eventually get relief down the road, better than having to pay that guy a weekly check. |
We'd be over the salary cap if we released/traded (Which we can't do anyway, nobody wants him) Kevin Kolb. It's literally not an option.
Lot of people making a big deal about the money we've given to Kolb but when you figure in John Skelton's 490K salary, we're actually paying right around what every other team is paying for a starter and a backup. Granted we're doing it backwards but the money for me is a complete non-issue. Just wish we had that 2nd round pick back. _________________

| I think.... Cardinals need to do a full court press on a QB next offseason. Kind of a shame they didn't rid themselves of Kolb and do it this season when they had a shot at a few different guys. I really like Larry Fitzgerald and I hate to see him kinda of windle away his career because the team can't get him a strong QB besides Kurt. |

Skelton has something like a 7-4 record as the Cardinals starter. That's a 0.636 win percentage. Over a full season that same rate of wins would be 10-6. _________________

Why do you say that? I think the Cardinals have a pretty talented team. They just need Skelton to step up and they need to improve their offensive line. They've got a fair amount of talent on defense, at running back, wide receiver, etc. _________________ Cleveland Browns Forum Hall of Fame Inductee

Well Skelton beat us last year and Kolb didn't, so not exactly. Kolb seems a lot more skittish in the pocket and is easier to sack whereas Skelton is a big boy that can get away from our speed rush and he's got the physical attributes to matchup.
Either way I think Seattle wins comfortably. _________________
